JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #55

“The Rise of Eclipso” continues!

With the Spectre fallen and darkness spread throughout the DC Universe, no one is safe from Eclipso’s control! Not any of DCs shadow-based heroes and villains. Not Alan Scott and the magical beings of the moon’s Emerald City. Not even the World’s Greatest Heroes! And when Eclipso’s ultimate goal is revealed, they’ll see that it’s scale is even bigger than the DC Universe. One lone hero has the power to make sure all be well however…for he has hope.

Introducing Blue Lantern Saint Walker to the Justice League of America!

In the remains of New Krypton, Doomsday tears through Batman, Supergirl and Alpha Lantern Boodikka in his search for Cyborg Superman as “Reign of Doomsday” rampages on!

  1. I think I’m in on this event.  Loved the Steel 1-shot.
LCS has under-ordered some of these, though.  I couldn’t get Outsiders last week.

  2. The end of the solicit sounds very much like an editor mandated tie in. Didn’t they learn anything from the previous disasters from that?

  3. I’m reading this without following the rest of the Doomsday crossover.

  4. Well I have been reading the JLA in all forms from 1979 on. I have been upset lately with the current line up however; Eclipso alwasy makes a great story arc and then throw in some doomsday. My guess is after this story arc they should bring back the heavy hitters!

  5. Sorry, I’m really over Robinson’s JLA.

  6. I’m starting to get to that point where I’m done with this book. I’ve really given this book a shot ( since Robinson started) but it hasn’t come together as I kept expecting it to.

Specifically I hate his characterization of jesse quick/liberty belle. I loved her in JSA but here I feel she’s one dimensional.

  7. @Zattaric  At least it’s not the Devin Grayson Titans’ characterization where Jesse Quick slept with her mother’s fiancee!

  8. @ Skyfire124  Wow!  I missed that one.  (And I think I’m glad about that.)

  9. @zattaric it was pretty bad…Im pretty sure Jesse Quick then left the Titans shortly afterwards, accusing them of being “incestuous”  (referring mostly to the in-team romances going on at the time)…it was really bizarre.

  10. So is the Eclipso thing over already?

  11. I flipped through this at the shop, his walker was decent but everything seemed too jumbled together. I don’t think that I’m going to continue with this even though I love St.Walker.
