Well at least the art has improved. Story is still a giant mess. This Emerald City/Alan Scott/Jade mess has got to go…put Liberty Belle back in JSA…get rid of Supergirl…give Donna Troy a goddamn code-name…keep Batnightwing, Congorilla, Starman and add in more of DC big names to make this book DC’s flagship again!

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. WOW, glad I’m not reading this Doomsday story neither.

  2. James Robinson is a great writer- but he needs to let this go- Noone gives a damn about Congarilla as a main character and they Never will.

That is just symptomatic of what his wrong with his JLA fromula.

  3. @ericmci  See, I feel a bit different myself. Personally, I feel if you can’t make a giant talking golden gorrilla interesting, there’s something really wrong.

And the killer thing is, he CAN. Check out the Congorilla/Starman one shot. Where is THAT James Robinson?
