  1. I like that cover.  Can’t wait to see what Mr. Robinson talks about in the back matter.  Hopefully, it will involve gorillas.

  2. I am no longer ashamed to say that I love this mini and I love this cover.

  3. yeah that is a very striking cover.  sure to make the best of the week

  4. This book goes from moments of awesomeness to, well, the other extreme.

I’m going to continue with this and the main series, until the awesomeness becomes less so.

  5. SPOILERS

The dialog is still odd in some places and Mr. Robinson is still telling us some exciting things instead of showing them to us, but I continue to enjoy the art and some of the events in this book.

Roy’s arm being ripped off by Freddy!  I was absolutely shocked.  I’m still having fun.

  6. I’m with you, stuclach. I almost feel dirty for enjoying it, but whatever. The dialogue has felt a little off the whole series, but it seems to read better the second way through. You almost have to add some internal voice acting to make things make sense.

  7. I don’t care what the haters say. This book is sweet! This issue was crazy and the art is really something special. I think this is going to make a great trade.

  8. I don’t know what this comic is about anymore.

  9. It’s about….JUSTICE!

  10. As bad as this series has been overall, this issue was actually pretty good– I gave it a solid 4.

  11. If not for Blackest Night, this would have had the "holy crap" of the month award. I did not see that coming.

  12. I’m still convinced that this is post blackest night with Roy getting his arm taken off and unless Mauro Casciolli is just painting Jason white and changing his costume that’s without a doubt Ronnie.

  13. I’m glad to see this picking up steam.  I almost dropped it after the first issue but stuck around and am grateful that I did.

Can’t wait to see what Robinson does with JLA post blackest night.

  14. @soma I hope your right about Ronnie!!

  15. me too dude, me too!

  16. @soma The only problem is that Cry for Justice is supposed to happen before JLA #38, and Blackest Night doesn’t hit JLA until #39, so this should all be taking place before that point. Probably just an art screw up.

  17. @Rustyautoparts

Have they said that it’s before #38? Because I would almost look at 38-40 as being Robinson closing out McDuffie’s run and playing with some Blackest Night tie-ins. As far as #41 goes though where we see the new team; I think that that comes out of Cry of Justice.

  18. I thought that at the beginning of #38 there is an editor’s note saying that the issue takes place after this mini. Vixen has her leg broken by Prometheus and Plastic Man is also effed up due to Prometheus in #38.
