  1. This is gonna be so awesome on so many levels.

First we have Jones art, which is perfect for a Batman book. Then we have Shinick…..oh why am I excited for the guy who hosted ‘Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?’ Who knows? I just am…

  2. Kelley Jones art is freakin’ crazy

  3. I picked up all of the jokers asylum weeklies last year;  This time though, it will just be this one.

Kelley Jones and Batman is the ultimate combination no matter who is on writing duties.

  4. Kelley Jones is Batman to me.

I grew up with Jones style as a kid and his take on the character is so iconic. The ridiculously huge ears, the long (like 30ft long) cape, and a menacing grin. Some of his more recent stuff have been okay. Gotham by Midnight was pretty bad, but I heard good things about The Unseen. I know a lot of people don’t like his style over the years, but for me, it’s perfect Batman.

  5. Most of these have been Meh.

  6. KELLEY JONES!

  7. The art by Jones is the pure reason to pick this up. Shinick did an okay job, his stuff in the beginning with Clayface was good. The rest of the plot though seemed to go no where though. But again Jones artwork was gorgeous in this. He handles Clayfaces transformations really well and it’s always nice to see the Batman I grew up with again. The panels of those two fighting were great. Definitely a must read for art fans.

    4/5

  8. Man I do love Batman drawn with the two foot long pointed ears on the cowl, would like to see Kelley Jones on reg Batman title for an arc.  I think I could only take one arc then it may be just too much surreal for me.

  9. Was anyone else’s preview of Action 890 printed in the wrong order?

  10. @astoriajohnstons

Now that you mention it, mine was printed backwards.

  11. @Slockhart: I just had read that preview a half dozen times in other books that it stood out.
