I totally forgot we were getting a guest artist this month. Bit of a shock, but a nice one. Good to know that Mike is back next month, though as I did kinda miss it.
This book has been consistently great from the start and it feels like it’s really picking up some steam now. I’m tres excited for where it goes next.
I was actually a little let down when I saw Mike Allred would be back next month. Allred is the main reason I’m still reading this book, but J. Bone was such a perfect fill-in artist that I would be pumped for a whole arc of him drawing.
Oh, I loved the art, but I like consistency in my books and a fill-in artist in the middle of an arc is often awkward. J. Bone doing a Dead Presidents mini? Yes please.
POTW. Was between this and Punisher in the end as two guest artists knock it out the park on some fantastically written character driven issues. This edges it due to Zombie Lincoln.
