    Whoah, I just noticed that Mike Allred isn’t the artist of this issue.  I’ll have to see how this works out because the exceptional art was what was keeping me on this slow moving series.

    This book is really lackluster without Allred on art.

    Turns out that what they did with this issue worked really well.  I can’t wait for Allred to get back but this was a good way to give him a breather.  Good story (I think better than usual) and good art and it still had Laura Allred on colors to help give some sort of consistency to the look.  If this is how this series deals with fill-in issues then I’m excited for when it happens again, although hopefully not for another year.
