I’m gonna be so sad when Diggle leaves, cause Hellblazer has been wicked non-stop since he came on. Can’t wait to see how things play out though.
Just heard Peter Milligan is jumping on in a few months. Could be good.
What?!?!? Peter Milligan. Oh no. For the life of me, I don’t think I’ve read one thing that Milligan wrote that I liked. His work on Robin was atrocious.
I will miss Diggle. I was really looking forward to Simon Oliver taking over, but I hope Milligan keeps this book a pleasure to read every month.
I really liked Human Target and X-Statix. There’s some good-will from that for me.
Anybody know why Oliver won’t be writing Hellblazer now? Is Manco out as the regular artist too?
The solicit for Milligan’s first issue mentions Manco, so I assume Camonculi (sp?) is filling in. I like his stuff though, so I don’t mind at all. I just prefer Manco.
when will the switch occur? so i know when to discontinue this from my shipping service.
I’ve never read anything Milligans written so I’m going to stay on and see if I like him or not. I’m always willing to give someone a shot for at least the first couple of issues. You never know if this is the time that they get it right.
@Bob
That seems a bit drastic. I feel that, as long as the writer knows how to write John, it’s simply a matter of finding situations to put him in. As Josh said, by this point, the book is pretty much a procedural, it’s just matter of getting the attitudes and situations right.
