GREEN LANTERN: NEW GUARDIANS #21
The Templar Guardians have been locked away for millennia, but they have a VERY clear idea of what they need to do next — and of all the Lanterns in the universe, they need Kyle Rayner’s help. So it’s a shame he wants nothing to do with them! But once he sees the strange anomaly lurking at the edge of the universe, he may have no choice but to get on board with their mission…

  1. I’m hoping this turns out to be solid because none of the Lantern books have really thrilled me thus far (well GL did but it faltered a lot in the middle).

    • I liked GL but thought GLC was just okay. This is the book I’m worried about the most – not a Kyle fan, not a Justin Jordan fan – but we’ll see.

  2. I enjoyed Green Lantern #21 & GLC #21, and am picking this up to try and complete my collection of GL #21s. Hopefully this is good, for the cover art is actually quite strong.

  3. Ever since I saw that cover last month I’ve been worried about this book. Justin Jordan is an ok writer but the art on that cover is atrocious. Hopefully its good otherwise ima have to pour some out for my dead homie.

  4. New Green Lantern read here and I got a question, I picked up GL 21 and liked it just wondering what the other green lantern books were excatly and what ones are your favorites? and what would go good with Gl?

    • new Green Lantern reader*

    • You should try GL Corps if you only want one other GL book. Its the same writer( Venditti) and they’re going to be tied fairly close from what I gather. I read GL New Guardians (which I love. I just checked out the preview for this issue and thought it looked great despite that cover) and Red Lanterns also and those are both good books as well.

  5. This was a really good read. I’m a huge Kyle fan and have been ever since ‘New Dawn’ (no, not ‘Twilight’).

I enjoyed Tony Bedard’s run on this book, its the only ‘New 52’ book (other than ‘Aquaman’) that I’ve bought every issue of. Bedard’s run was fun and quite mad, but also engaging and exciting. I enjoyed every single issue.

Anyway, I thought Mr. Jordan did a really nice job on this. The art was very good as well. Especially the Space Sharks. Gotta love them Space Sharks!

I liked the focus on the Templar Guardians, I’m very interested to see where this new creative team takes them. Overall, I breathed a sigh of relief when I read this because it was fun, cool and fresh, just like a GL book should be. Count me in from now on, Mr. Jordan. Well done!
