  1. Man all 3 of the final chapters in this crossover ship this week.  I’m excited and my pocketbook hurts.

  2. @Trichon: Good thing DC is drawing the line at $2.99!

  3. I know what you guys mean, it is a bit annoying that all three are shipping this week, but I’ve really enjoyed the story. I haven’t minded having to pick up two books I don’t read (GLC and EW). The New Guardians story was silly, but this has been on fire.

  4. I’m still enjoying this, but I’m sure the amount of Hype is letting others down. Its not truly spectacular. Just quite enjoyable.

  5. @Zeppo couldnt agree more.  I like the fact I get all 3 of them at once because the story has been really good.  Interested in seeing how they finish it off and see the fallout.

  6. There’s one last chapter in Green Lantern #67 which is currently scheduled for the end of June.  I don’t mind them shipping all three books in one week but I hope they’re smart enough to not release the fallout issues of GLC and EW before the last chapter.

The first half of this crossover was pretty darn uneventful after the first issue.  The last issue of Emerald Warriors was a good sign that things were picking back up though.

  7. Yay Green Lantern!

  8. @Minion  You described my feelings on this book.  The story is very good.  It doesn’t have the impact or bigness of Blackest Night.  So, there’s this feeling of muted enjoyment.  I’m going to focus on just enjoying the story without making comparisons to the past.

  9. I dropped Green Lantern a few months ago but I’m missing it. Unfortunately this doesn’t look like a good time to jump on. Would I be completely lost if I grabbed this issue? Should I wait for the trade or try to dig up the back issues?

  10. @keith

I would say go for. Or try and pick up the war issues. It’s a lot better than the New Guardian stuff.

I’ve noticed all the covers listed for GL are old, does this mean the covers are spolier filled?

  11. I loved this! Such cool mythology Johns has built and is building.

  12. Thought that gauntlet shoulda been able to do something for them before they got zapped like that, otherwise what’s the point of them finding it?  Sweet Manhunter action there in that sorta flashback.

    Skipping GLC, on to EW.

  13. Good stuff, the story is definitely back on track.  It was sorely lacking Sinestro.

  14. I really enjoyed this book but it does seem like a lot of the stuff that happened in the last few issues didn’t matter because it didn’t help just took up  some time.

  15. This was my favorite of the GLs this week. Really interested to see how Sinestro and the others are gonna get outta that book.

  16. I’ll tell you, I think this book left out chunks of story told in the other books. Which sucks a wang chang in my opinion.

  17. @Minion  right?  I mean you’d think Krona would’ve been vulnerable to his own gauntlet, but after EW, turns out it was a completely meaningless part of the story.

  18. War Of The Green Lanterns is shaping up to be the dullest story I’ve read in a long time.  The dialogue is either all exposition or characters saying-what-they-are-doing-as-they-do-it.  If in doubt, moan about inner turmoil and shoot a coloured beam at something to solve a problem.  I have Johns fatigue.  Johns has Johns fatigue.  This book just isn’t of interest to me anymore.
