  1. I didn’t know until earlier today that Szymon Kudranski is drawing this issue. I have only ever seen him draw the Penguin Pain and Prejudice mini-series [that I can recall] but I thought that his art in that was incredible.

    • I agree. I dropped GL some months ago and haven’t missed it. However, I might pick this one up solely for Szymon Kudranski’s art.

  2. Construct or not, Hal is swinging that flail all wrong. That’s how wrists get broken.

  3. Green Lantern is one of my favorite characters, but I feel this book has been one long event since the reboot. It’s left me a little tired.

  4. do i drop this now? Or wait till Johns leaves…

  5. I’m as excited to read Green Lantern as I’ve been in a while knowing Johns’ run is about it end. 3 more issues to go. They should all be pretty eventful.

  6. This was a good one.

As tired of Green Lantern as I’ve been lately, it feels like Johns is about to go out with a bang, and that’s the way it should be.

I’m looking forward to the end of this era with optimism.

  7. I LOVED this issue! The art was incredible and I felt that we were finally moving towards something instead of just shuffling the pieces around. I have really enjoyed seeing Sinestro become a more layered character and I’m even liking Simon Baz. Can’t wait to see how it all turns out.

  8. Kudranski was a perfect choice for this Dead Zone issue. Just beautiful. The tone was spot on as was Johns’ portrayal of Sinestro’s ruthlessness.
This issue was a perfect 5. Really enjoyed it.

  9. I opened this up and said “huh…that looks really nice” and then I also looked the story. 3 bucks well spent i feel. Potw

  10. I’ve noticed that DC Digital waits one or more extra days to drop this title to $1.99 one month after its release. Doesn’t seem to happen with the other regular titles, just this one. Seems shady to me.

  11. I agree, Kudranski did a great job on the art. I too have been event fatigued out on the GL universe, but dammit if this issue wasn’t good and makes me want the next one. Still, if I were the editor, once the new creative teams come on I would make a rule – “no crossovers for at least one year.”

  12. The art in the dead zone looked great. This seems to be gearing up for a quality finale. I noticed issue 20 is going to be huge so they should have plenty of space for a satisfying end.

  13. I enjoyed Syaf’s art. Kudranski’s was good as well but for me it didn’t fit the usual tone of this book. Will be interesting to see where this all goes under the new creative team.
