GREEN ARROW #9

BRIGHTEST DAY illuminates the dark mysteries of the deep forest as Green Arrow finds himself in the middle of an all-out assault on the woods from above and below! And this time, the attacks are from both friends and deadly foes!

  1. Wow, amazing cover, great job Shane Davis!  Excited to see what happens next and how this continues to tie in to Brightest Day…I still want to know what’s going on with this magical forest.

  2. I’m here for the Phantom Stranger.

  3. I dropped this book back around issue three but while browsing in the shop I noticed Etrigan on the cover. And being the sucker I am for the Demon I picked it up. Luckily it wasn’t half bad.

  4. Ollie needs to go back to being the rich Ollie with his company and the opposite of that Wayne fellow. That works playing the two rich boys off of each other and their crime fighting styles. The book has been up and down since the begining and I am starting to loose hope.

  5. This is just not the way to write Green Arrow. Can’t related or care about anything this story offers.
I’m betting the payoff of this mystial forrest is a non-event.
Only reaon I read this issue was because of it’s “tie-in” to Brightest Day — won’t make that mistake again. (Starting to think J. T. Krul is actually Chuck Austin in disguise.)

  6. I’ve actually loved this series so far, surprisingly this and Batgirl are usually at the top of my stack. I like Ollie redefining himself. I was tired of the sexaholic Green Arrow who couldn’t help but let everyone down time after time. I’m probably enjoying the book the most since Meltzer left.

  7. Hadn’t really cared about this series.  But this Etrigan arc has been  a fun look at the greater DCU reacting to a situation.  It has a really strong sense of continuity with all the other characters appearing.  However, its a little off the wall and I can’t see it being a big draw to readers who are interested in Green Arrow as a character.  But damn can Neves make this book look good.

  8. I’m liking this book more than I was in the early issues. It just seemed like an easy tie-in book in the early issues, but in the last 4 it’s started to really gain momentum. I hope the pay-off is there, otherwise Krul is really gonna get a black eye from this. The art team has been particularly great the last few issues.
