Very excited for this. I met Phil Hester and Brook Turner at a con a few months ago and checked out some of the pencils for this issue and they looked great. Plus Brook was nice enough to do a full head sketch of Satan for me. This book has been great thus far.
I agree it is a great read and Phil is passionate about this book. I could see this becoming another The Walking Dead and picking up a serious cult following
Unfortunately, as we have already seen this book will take time to come out. In talking with Brook at the con I found out that he still works a day job (FedEx or UPS I think) and Golly is something he does in his free time. I think he also said he is married and has a kid or two which also complicates things. I just hope that the book stays on an at least somewhat regular schedule to avoid losing readers because it is so good.
I don’t understand people who drop a book just cos it’s not out every month like clockwork. A good comic is a good comic and I’ve not even noticed this being particularly late.
@deadspace – I agree with you; I have never dropped a title for being late. And I don’t think this has been late yet, but it has just been a few months between issues. I just don’t think the schedule of this book will be "regular" due to the artist.
Agreed, it’s still a good book regardless. If I see the next issue come up on a pull list a year from now, it’s getting pulled.
Sadly, I think I am done with this book. I didn’t find these last two issues as great as the first.
i love this book and believe it will be somewhat regular. hester said there will be a one month lag between arcs but that is fair with me as long as i know to plan for that.
