GODZILLA: THE HALF-CENTURY WAR #2

The year is 1967 and Godzilla is on the move… to Vietnam!

With a war underway, Godzilla is the last thing the country needs. Lieutenant Murakami follows Godzilla to try out some new tech on the monster, but a super-sized foe named Anguirus might just be the most effective counter-measure.

It’s a rumble in the jungle, don’t miss it!

  1. I’m really excited to see more of this book. Hope this also means we will be getting more Orc Stain soon.

  2. SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!! The first was awesome and I am loooking forward to where we get taken with #2!

  3. I’m always stoked for stokoe

  4. I read the first one four times. (pretty excited)

  5. Just when they thought they had him! Stokoe’s art = Magnificent!!

  6. This was my POTW in a pretty strong week of contenders, this issue was much better then the first story wise and when you mix in the breathtaking art along with it and Godzilla fighting other monsters it makes it a no brainier for POTW. Great stuff

    • Agreed 101%. My only complaint about this issue is that it’s just a mini series…but its simply a Godzilla fan’s masterwork.

    • I like that it is a mini-series. Five issues seems like a nice size Godzilla story. Issue #2 was just as great as issue #1. Setting the story in Vietnam was interesting.

I like that Stokoe is giving us background on the cool laser cannons the Japanese always bring into play.

I also like the sense of awesome discovery we have with the main character who is trying to understand how Godzilla operates.
