The current storyline and art change on this title have made this must-read book in my stack drop to the bottom. This issues’s art was worse than the last, and the painted ‘Cobra-La’ sections breaking up the story looked horrible. I’m not sure if those pages are meant to intentionally look like a bad rendition of a Jehovah’s Witness type pamplet or not, but it could have been executed better.
All in all, a disappointing turn for what used to be the highlight of my Wednesday haul.
I still like the story, but I agree that the art is poor.
While I’m sorry you didn’t like my contribution, I’m proud of the work I did here and stand by it. The direction for the illustrations were specifically scripted and was to be like an illustrated bible or as you put it "Jehovah’s witness type pamphlet". Though I’ll continue to strive for improvement, I’m still happy with the work I did here.
Not trying to be kiss ass but I have really liked this new arc on the book. I think they have taken a ridiculous character Serpentor and really have put a cool spin on it. Im in for the long haul.
