  1. DCBS practically paid me money to buy this series. It was Ennis, so I decided to give it a whirl. I suspect there may be crude violence.

  2. I want to read this but I already have so many comics on my pull list. I’ll skim through it at the comic shop but I think I am going to just go for the 3-D one shot comic instead.

  3. May aswell try this

  4. It’s a Garth Ennis #1, so I figure it’s worth a try.

  5. It’s about time Garth Ennis dropped something new on our faces.

  6. This is an ongoing not a limited series right?

  7. You are correct, @thechangingman.  I’m already invested in Scarlett.  Unless I hear that this is off the hook, I’m gonna chill.  Perhaps if the price was 3 instead of 4 bucks.  Here’s a suggestion for you publishers:  3 bucks for ongoing; 4 bucks for limited.  At least make us happy spending our way into debt.

  8. @skydog  It is 40 pages though. I’ll probably pick this up out of my love for Ennis and see what I think.

  9. That does change things valuewise…Hmmm.   Maybe I’ll break down.  ESPECIALLY if I can gey my hands on the one cover that really RACKS things up.

  10. @skydog  Clever. Actually I passed on it in the shop. CBR had a preview that was half of the book so I just finished it in the store. Lots of adds and a decent enough story, but I’ll be waiting on the trade or just reading the issues in the shop.

  11. This was alright, kind of average though. And I don’t really feel like this is sustainable as an ongoing for long. But then again it’s also the first issue, it’s the cold open, so it might blow me away later.

  12. Agreed.  It was okay.  We need to see what her motivation is.  Hopefully we will be lead down a disturbed path and shown an original reason as for why.  I did see some clues that she’s a misandrite.  I’m guessing a past experience along the lines of the movie, “I spit on your grave?”
