Hmm. I thougt this would have a better profile.
"Fusion" is an insanely large TOP COW/MARVEL 3-issue miniseries crossover featuring Cyberforce, Hunter-Killer, Thunderbolts and Mighty Avengers. And it’s written by DAN ABNETT & ANDY LANNING! Woo!
I’m excited for it, as that I find DnA rarely let me down; but, I’m also wondering if Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer/Thunderbolts/Mighty Avengers might not implode under the weight of all those characters!
Sounds like the plot is months too late, but we all know D&A do good work. If I can find it, I’ll get it.
It’s a little bold for Top Cow and/or Marvel to call this ‘Gem’ of anything especially when it hasnt come out yet
looking forward to seeing the Hunter/Killer team again. Suprised the Avengers+thunderbolts haven’t attracted more pulls
@TNC Isn’t Gem of the Month a Previews Catalogue label? the image must be from them.
I’m confused. Is this a pre-Secret Invation crossover? Even if they don’t want to be sticklers for continuity, publishers at least need to pay attention to the timelines of major events.
it’s pre-secret invasion, post-adolescense, , pre-menopause about 3.30 on a Thursday afternoon.
Man, I’ve been wanting to check out the Top Cow properties involved in this for a while now; here’s as good a place to start as any, I guess, and that $2.99 price is quite enticing…
@ShonenRafa77
If you’re interested in the Top Cow characters, the FCBD Cyberforce/HunterKiller issue is worth getting hold of as it gives a potted history of the HunterKiller team as well as character bios (there is a Cyberforce/HunterKiller mini series out in July)
This was an ‘ok’ read. Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning do a decent job leading us through the paces of an intro issue in a massive crossover. The dialogue felt a bit contrived from place to place, but DnA did get at least one good laugh out of me. And they pull a nice manuever by recognizing some past ‘crossover continuity’.
For 2.99, I’m content and I’ll check out issue 2.
Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning alone should have made this 4 stars at least.
As inter-company crossovers go, this was pretty good.
Finally got it. Not entire sure if I’m gonna buy the next one, though.
