The Female Force series has spent a LOT of time building it’s members with one-shot issues. Pretty OK but kind of filler, honestly. I’m ready for the “assemble the team” issue so we can find out what kind of threat is big enough for all of these women to join forces against.

What does everyone think of the reveal, three issues ago, about Female Force’s mysterious benefactor? It feels like a riff on Maxwell Lord, but maybe I’m wrong and Rafter will put his own spin at the end.
@Ottobot – I think each character has needed their own introductory issue because of the depth of the characters here. I don’t think this is going to be simply a big action event but something quite philosophical. But I’m dying to know who the enemies are too!
Can’t wait to find out the back story of how she went from The Queen of Nice to The Queen of Mean. I doubt I’m the only one who’s been wondering how that happened. I’m guessing it’s some type of mind control.

@Deadspace – Dan Rafter has Alan Moore listed as one of his big influences. That’s kind of standard, right? But if the whole philosophical thing comes in to play, I can def see how and why he’d think of Moore when he wrote the Female Force stuff. Especially with Rosie.
@Wade and Cyber – I think you’ve got something with the mind-control. Was it just me, or was Saalfield drawing Ghandi’s shiney, bald head a little larger then usual? If it’s bigger in this issue, I predict you’re both right and he’s going turn out to be the dick we’ve always expected him to be.
I always regretted not picking up civil war, secret invasion, or siege so I’m going for it this time.
Cannot wait for more of this art and story.
