  1. Do you guys think this is a good jumping on point?
I read the first two issues but found them a little ‘bluh’ I expected it to get better but had to drop it due to lack of funds, I’ll either jump on here or trade-wait the series (I prefer reading most stuff in trades anyway).

    • The first trade is out this week as well, so you have your choice — give the first arc another shot in trade, or jump into this new arc with issue 6 and see how it goes.

I’m a big fan of the single issues because of those killer essays — there was one in issue 3 or 4 about the real-life inspiration for Phillip Marlowe — great stuff.

    • i think you would be better served reading it in TPB as easyer reading in one go

  2. Feels like it’s been forever since the last issue. I need my dose of pulpy noir.

  3. This issue must be delayed at least 3 or so weeks. Hopefully it can pick up the pace again cause the first arc was sublime!

  4. im up at midnight doing at POW this is my pick
