FABLES #110

In part three of “Inherit the Wind,” Bufkin continues his schemes to free Oz and its surroundings from the Nome King’s oppressive rule.

Meanwhile, at the North Wind’s keep, the cubs continue to learn how to become winds – but is it turning into a competition with a decidedly deadly edge?

  1. Still one of (if not the) best books on the shelf. Fables has been killing it recently!

  2. I loved how the prophecy about the cubs is forefront. I’ve been waiting for this story for years!

  3. I am so far behind on this book. I think I have about 15 issues to read. Someday I will conquer that stack, but it gets more and more daunting!

  4. Loving Fables right now.

  5. This book is always top notch. It is nice to see the prophecy coming to fruition…and all from a single page.

  6. I’m enjoying this arc, but I definitely think it’s ultimately going to work much better in trade. There’s so much jumping around between story-lines that it kind of feels like not much happens in any individual issue.

    • I don’t know, I feel like there was a significant amount of plot this issue and I liked the cuts between story-lines. The plot with the cubs and the North Wind’s successor solidified. We got to know the other three Winds. Bigby got to be himself. We got a crazy tease at the end. Meanwhile Buffkin’s resistance grew and we met a couple new characters better. Then he got kidnapped. And for good measure they kicked in on the two people (can’t remember their names) left in Mr. Dark’s castle.

  7. I’m kind of surprised by all the positive feedback because I have never been more bored by Fables than I am now. I don’t care all that much about which of the cubs will be the new North Wind and I seriously couldn’t care less about Bufkin vs yet another evil emperor.

I love Fables overall so I’m going to stick with it but I can’t wait for it to move onto better things.
