  1. Any ideas on who the major villain is?

  2. I don’t want to be another Tony S. Daniel basher, but I do hope the new writer can turn this comic around for the better. Pretty close to dropping detective, and would have had I not known it was getting a new writer.

  3. So this was solid but I just read this and saw a severe lack of a “major villian” that the solicit says. Am i the only one who didnt see this, anyone care to enlighten me?

  4. I can’t wait to read this. But not getting until next Friday.

  5. This was very good. Gregg Hurwitz’s Batman is how I always imagined him, someone who discards his emotions to become something more than human. I will check out his other batbooks.

  6. What a great love story! And a happy ending to boot. Here we see how Batman learns to be a Zen master by playing Fruit Slice. Then we take note of his great pickup lines as he puts his arm around the neck of a girl and tells her he’s imagining a string of pearls. This issue is for the hopeless romantic in all of us.

  7. I dropped Detective around issue 5 and added agaon when I saw John Layman was taking over. I intended to start with the next issue, but the 0 issue showed up in my box and I thought I’d give it a chance. It was a solid issue and makes me wonder if I need to revisit Dark Knight as well as Greg Hurwitz crafted a fine story and probably my favorite of the 0 issues thus far,

    • His ark on The Dark Knight is a completely different feel from where that book started. It’s hard to believe it’s the same title. Greg Hurwitz is doing a great job on it.

  8. Definitely agree, I think this might have been the strongest of the Detective issues since the New 52 kicked in.

  9. I’m glad this is getting a new writer. I didn’t even bother reading the “Mr. Toxic” arc…

  10. Hey, does anyone know if when you get a subscription for 12 comics on DC.com if it is the first 12 comics or the next so in most case 13-25? Pls help anyone

  11. Sadly I thought this was kinda boring. The ending of the first story was good, though.

  12. This was great, loving the new writer already.
