Don’t miss a new printing of this story of Hal Jordan’s early days as a Green Lantern!

An inexperienced Hal Jordan must undergo a surreal right of passage in order to master his power ring. Waking up on a strange, hallucinatory world with no recollection his journey there, Green Lantern attempts to decipher the insanity around him while instilling justice in a mad existence. Dealing with a senseless reality, Hal is forced to learn how to focus his will, thus accessing the true, unbridled power of his ring. Featuring strikingly beautiful artwork, this book reveals how Hal Jordan transformed himself from a novice hero to a legend.

  1. Everybody must get this!

Seriously just a gorgeous book, absolutely gorgeous. The late Seth Fisher was a talented artist and every page of this book is just a sight to behold. (Story is alright but it’s more of the art here)

Definitely worth the $7.99 price tag.

  2. I agree, if you’ve never read this before, it’s definitely worth it.  Seth Fischer had an amazing style–a cross between Frank Quitely’s simplicity and pastel colors and Geoff Darrows insane detail.  Pretty interesting story, if you ask me too.

  3. I’ve had the HC in my hands at the store like every time I’ve gone for the last year, I’m glad that it’s coming out at a cheaper price. So good.

  4. I hope it is a nice presentation.  I hope it is normal trade size or slightly larger.

  5. I’ve got to agree, if you don’t own this you must, at least for the art

  6. I preordered this after reading Batman Snow tpb w/ Seth Fisher’s art so I look forward to this special comic very soon in my pull box.

  7. Batman: Snow is a gorgeous book too.

  8. This was absolutely wonderful!  I only found out about it a few months ago, but have read it few times.  You don’t even have to be a fan of Green  Lantern to fully enjoy this gem!

  9. Seth Fisher RIP was so amazing.

  10. Batman: Snow is a great book, I always saw it at my LCS but never bought it until I got fiamiliar with Fisher’s art.

But his best work, in my opinion, by miles is ‘Fantastic Four/Iron Man: Big In Japan’. Just…..words can’t describe how amazing that book is.

  11. I read SNOW from my local library and loved it, never bought it but it is on my get list.

That and TheNextChampion’s first has me putting this on my pull list, thank GOD  I have the day off weds.  so I can get to the lcs early.

  12. I got the last issue at 12:30 (my LCS opens at 11:00) this book made me smile when I glanced inside, cant wait to read it tonight.

  13. i think i’ll check it out when i go to the shop tonight. hoping i can get it.

  14. Very cool book!

  15. Very fun book, had a good time reading it.

  16. Fantastic! I can’t wait to read this when i get it this weekend. Seth Fisher was not only one of the most talented artists of his day but he’s also largely forgotten now. His books are some of the most inventive I’ve ever read, Snow and his FF/Iron Man mini are among the best things I’ve ever seen in comics.

I really hope they talk about this on the show, more people could do with finding out about Seth. Actually, they should do a video show about him, that would be perfect.

  17. @JedeyeSniv  great idea on the video … seriously.

  18. oh actually on the front page there’s an article about him. it’s like they read my mind 🙂
