  1. I read this book in the bath. I’m just saying.

  2. This book has been truly beatiful (story and artwise) but when the eventual trade appears Vertigo should put a disclaimer in the introduction that the book should probably not be read in one sitting because it can be too emotionally taxing. (I’m only partially serious.)

Really loving Dave Stewart’s coloring on this series.

  3. In this issue: Bras has a fine day that ends peacefully.

  4. I found the last issue to be pretty bad.. Most of the stories seem like one of those ham-fisted emotional indie movies, that are just trying waaay to hard to be "art". I’m gonna finish the series But, man, has this been one of the most over hyped comics in a while.

  5. yeah this is my last issue. i dont care about the story because there really isnt one

  6. This book certainly isn’t flawless, but at least it gives its readers something to think about other than the validity of Cap’s new back-pack or how many teams Wolverine is currently on.

  7. This book is wonderful.

  8. @ Conor — Hear Hear.

  9. Dave Stewart is killing it on the coloring. Pages 6 and 7 really stood out for me.

  10. Another great issue. Even though I know how every issue ends, I’m always surprised at how the writers make it happen. And on this one they really surprised me. I was like "why Jorge?!…why?!

  11. A great issue hampered a bit by a WTF ending. 5/5 for me.

@edward Dude, let a little love in your heart.

  12. Just ignore him.

ANYWAYS…..The colors really stand out in this series.

I also enjoy how they age and de-age people, especially Bras. Making people look older and younger, especially when turning him into a child, is hard to do. I like how how youthful and hopefully he looks in college, while middle aged he looks more rugged and set in his ways especially around the eyes.

  13. @cromulent: The aging/de-aging of Bras has been one aspect of the twins’ art that has struck me thoughout the series. The first panel of the college flashback in this issue also stood out to me as perhaps the best example of this yet. Before I read any of the dialogue to put it in context, I knew that a) we were seeing Bras at a stage of his life that we hadn’t seen before and b) he was probably about 18 or 19 years old. The brothers’ deft storytelling never ceases to impress.

  14. This book continues to be completely awesome. Probably my favorite issue yet.

  15. I loved this issue, it really surprised me. I approve.

  16. The hairs on the back of my neck stood while I was reading the obituary at the end of this issue.

  17. This is by far the wost issue of the comic. I was liking the comic up until issue 9. Now its starting to feel very "meh". And what a bad ending! here was no explanation given for Jorge’s actions, other then he went crazy! I just get feeling that this book is gonna run a couple issues to long.

  18. Oops. I meant "Issue 6"

  19. This is one of the best series I’ve ever read. The stories are well written and the art is amazing.

  20. The end of this issue was literally a gut punch. I’ll be sad when this is over

  21. This book is fucking infuriating. I am mad at myself for pulling it. I cannot wait for it to end.
