The high-concept framing technique that provides the open structure for each installment of “Daytripper” takes yet another shocking turn. At this point in the series, we’re near the end, and we know what’s going to happen. But each time it manages to surprise – and this time is no exception. This series is beginning to have the feel of a symphony – melodic motifs weave in and out, played over and over again – but each time with a fresh variation on the theme.

Some of the earlier chapters were slightly inhibited by a nagging question- “what is this all supposed to _mean_” ?? But at this point, I’ve decided to just let go of the need for answers and embrace the mysteries. And maybe that’s the point.
