     This and issue 10 are honestly the number one and two covers of the year for me. Just incredible.

     I just went back and re-read my run also (10 on to now..gonna have to track down 1-9, its very popular in sw florida) its just fantastic, always loved Daredevil since Miller’s and Mazzucchelli’s Born Again. And that enjoyment seems to be renewed with this wonderful run.

     Yeah I picked up the earliest issues my LCS had (12-17) based on the glowing reviews I see here. Man oh man is this series great. I always thought Daredevil was okay though I never actively followed him. Now I foaming at the mouth for now C’MON VOLUME 2 TRADE PAPERBACK!

     Nothing against Samnee, but I used to like the art a lot more. I guess it’s Rivera’s book in my mind.

     Totally agree with TheNextChampion and Funcrusher. Samnee just doesn’t do as good as job as Rivera.

     Rivera’s covers that he spends seventy hours on are great. but he gets lazy when it comes to interiors. his fight between Matt and Mole Man was horrible.
     Samnee is clearly the superior interior artist.

     Having Samnee, Rivera, and Marcos Martin on this book since the beginning has been AMAZING. I love all three.

     To be fair, I never said Samnee wasn’t doing a good job. He’s no Paolo Rivera but most of his issues have been pretty good.

    This was fantastic cover to cover. I have no idea what’s happening to Matt, and I care so much that it actually worries me. Everything from Milla showing up in his apartment to the elevator mishap was so incredibly disorienting that it put us right there in the driver seat with Matt. Is it residual effects from Doom’s experiment? Is it the efforts of some new villain? The answer is irrelevant. It’s not so much the destination but the journey. This is good comics.

    Can anyone explain the significance of the closeup on the manakin head in Foggy’s trash can? That went right over my head.

      Mine too. It has to have some importance they made a point of focusing on it, but I can’t think of anything it refers to.

    Daredevil not only is a successful book, its style is starting to influence other titles; for instance look at the new Hawkeye series and the upcoming FF; they have the same artistic formula, and I love it!.
