Excited for this! Love me some Mark Brooks!
Is this leading to a series or is it just a fun one-shot?
i think it depends on how well this does
Love, love, love me some Cloak and Dagger!
Getting this for the Mark Brooks art. Also, I had some nostalgic memories reading the old adventures of the duo, so I’m interested to see what they’re doing lately.
I think this gets Cover of the Week
I’m very excited to see this book. I love that they’re Xmen now and I believe Storm is in this!!!
Besides Civil War, I think the only time I’ve read Cloak and Dagger was in Runaways which was pretty funny. I’m excited.
I read the preview of this and it appears Dagger might not be a mutant?! I really hope that changes by the end of the issue, since they hae been identified as mutants for years I was really glad to see the angle fleshed out and I feels like oit might end before it has really gotten a chance to grow.
Are they still going with the fighting drug dealers shtick?
Not that I was expecting this book to suck, but I definitely enjoyed this one shot way more than I expected to. My low expectations had a lot to do with my disappointment in the last few Marvel one shots I’ve read in the past year. I really hope this sells well enough for at least a mini series, if not an ongoing.
I hate this art style. It’s not bad art I just don’t appreciate it and Marvel seems intent on using it for all their younger people books. Since I’m nitpicking, the story also seemed very condensed.
Great issue. Possibly the best Cloak & Dagger story I can remember reading.
This looks very interesting and I’ve always been a fan of Cloak and Dagger. That said, I skipped on this. If you guys give this series plenty of good reviews I might pick up the trade.
Not being a big X-men reader, this was very accessible to someone not familiar with the characters. The art was okay, but I felt the story more than made up for that. I kind of wish this was a mini series, as I’d be willing to pick up a couple more issues. Who knows, maybe sales numbers will get it there.
I read this issue THREE time and i will read it three more. This is my pick of the WEEK.
@JesTr – It’s not a series. It’s a one-shot. I don’t know where, or if, it will be collected.
I loved this a LOT though. If not for Blackest Night, it would probably be my pick of the week. I really miss Cloak and Dagger and hope they get their own mini again, or at least remain in the spotlight on a team book so I can keep reading their stories. The seeds are certainly planted here for future adventures.
Anyone else think Tia looked like Freefall from the original Gen13?
I was hoping they would stick around with the X-Men.
