* Note – As a reader of the first two issues, I must admit that the story/art wasn’t working for me and that The Flash appearance is the only reason I’m getting this. I really wanted to like this, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
Perhaps this issue will turn it around for me….and, perhaps the moon will be in arms reach tonight.
The good – The art impressed me on this issue. More so than the previous two issues.
The bad – The story still feels as if our hero is wondering around aimlessly. After reading this issue, I’m still left wondering where exactly is this going. I don’t need all the answers, but I’m looking for something that gives me a sense of direction. In this case, I feel as if I’m asking the same questions as Captain Atom, “What is happening before my eyes”?
The ugly – I was on the fence coming into the issue and, unfortunately, not much has changed in that regards.
@Kmanifesto- I have read both issues and I am going with this one last issue because;
A) The Flash appearance
B) I feel bad for Capt. Atom he was on of my favorite characters in the DCU and I am hoping maybe this issue will bring him back to glory….and perhaps you are right the moon and arms reach and all.

I’ve been enjoying this series more than I expected, but honestly I may just be buying the series because of those absolutely stunning covers.
Bummer. My comic shop under-ordered, and ran out of copies. I’ll have to wait a while for a copy.
I’m looking forward this issue. I’ve liked the first two issues–especially the art—even if the Issue 2’s story was a bit too heart-on-sleeve.
If Manapul ever needs a fill in artist (which I hope won’t be soon), he should call Williams!
Wow. This issue f*cking rocks. I cant believe how much you can relate to captain atom. Its deep, its dark, its beautiful, its action packed, its fun, its exciting, cant believe more people arent pulling this.
Sorry I tried and tried to stick with it ant this issue was miss-guided and just all over the place and then bang Flash shows up and than bang “What are you?”, and then the Flash was gone? Captain Atom used to be one of my favorite characters before this reboot and now well he does not exsist!! This is not a reboot of the Capt. this is a whole new character!!
Sorry Captain Atom, CANCELLED!!
