  1. Well, I have come this far.  And the last issue was a big jump up in quality for me.  So, head down and plow straight ahead.

  2. if this issue doesn’t deliver it’s over. i stayed for the joss issue and it was good but man this is getting old, and not like a fine wine or cheese

  3. …..I’m gonna keep going till the end. I can’t stop knowing it will end soon.

  4. Not a big Meltzer fan. Not a Meltzer fan at all, but I’ve hung out this long. Plus I actually have been enjoying the book until this last arc which seemed to drag on forever.

And gotta love an ACTION COMICS #1 homage cover. Is that a TRAIN Buffy’s holding up?

  5. I feel that with the last arc they got back to the main story. I hope they keep going with it.

  6. This thing is now officially more boring then Buffy Season 7 and that’s a pretty big feat.

  7. Nine issue’s left, I’ll stick with it. Last issue was good and the preview looks good. Season nine, however, no way!

  8. I’m pumped for this.  Love Buffy, love Meltzer.

  9. @Hawkboy You shut your mouth, Season Seven was the bees knees

  10. @roiVampire Well to each their own… I am rewatching the Buffy series (along with Angel) And I’m currently in season 7 and it’s a slog.  Outside of Andrew and Felicia Day it’s lacking any of the charm and excitement the show ever had in previous seasons.  It’s just a setpiece for long boring speeches by Buffy and they happen every single episode… Ugh.

I dislike it even more on the rewatch then I did the first time.  Not to mention they single handedly make the Giles charatcer completely meaningless and unimportant all for the sake of a weak red herring.  Not good.  Don’t get me wrong me not liking a Buffy season still means it’s better than most TV, but when held up in the Buffy/Angel universe it’s by far the worst TV they put out.

  11. I haven’t really enjoyed an arc since the Wolves at the Gate story. Scott Allie on the last Talksplode said that Season 8 was too long and I agree.

  12. I enjoyed the hell out of this issue.

  13. BUFFY IS GOOD AGAIN!!!! CALLOOH CALLAY!!!!

  14. I thought this issue was pretty good.

  15. Loved it. Possibly my favorite since the beginning.

  16. I wanted to make this my potw but Scalped was too good.

  17. I normally don’t like Brad Meltzer, but I have to admit, this issue was great.

  18. Good issue, but I can’t wait for it to be over so I can pick up Season 9 in trade only.

  19. picked this up cuz of metzler.  the only buffy ive read before was the vaughn "faith" run and some of the "fray" stuff.  kinda want to like this, i feel like i should like joss whedon more than i actually do.

  20. Can’t believe Buffy is my potw, hopefully this series can end with a bang.

  21. LMFAO!!! I MIGHT GET THIS ISSUE! See that’s what Marvel should be doing with bad titles, put great covers on them that might make me want the issue. Granted I never read a shit-lick of Buffy and I’m viscerally against the show since day one BUT this might be the one to turn me over. We’ll find out. If you hear nothing from me that’s a sign.

  22. As a non regular Buffy reader I dug this.

  23. This issue was really good. Finally felt like Buffy again. Sure hope they reveal who twilight is next issue because knowing that it was leaked, I’m worried someone is going to spoil it for me.

  24. @jediaxle   yeah same here. i’m amazed it hasn’t been spoiled for me yet but for now the only site i’m going to for comic news is this one so i should be safe
