  1. Interested to see where this goes, but… have to say, I may not be sticking around for Season 9.

  2. As long as Season 9 does not have like 4 loosely connected one-shots in a row, I will be there.  Those really took me out of the story.  Some were enjoyable, but most just meandered around.

Which is why I am excited to have this arc continue.  Espenson wrote some of my favorite episodes from the show.

  3. The bad guy being called Twilight was funnier when Twilight wasn’t so ubiquitous.  Ahh well.

  4. Joss Whedon is definatly my favourite creator, but the last few months of Season 8 have not been very good. Like PraxJarvin I have doubted if I’d continue with season 9. It’ll depend on how this season ends.

I thought last issue was a step in the right direction.

  5. A couple of the one-shots were quite good! And I really dug the last issue. I’m back to optimism with this.

  6. Started SO strong, then a bit meh. They need a stronger through-arc for season 9. Hire your writers in advance, Joss, so as to avoid so many fillers.

  7. I’ve enjoyed this almost the whole way through.  When it was ont he air Buffy had plenty of stand-alone episodes….  I will definately be back for Season 9.

  8. Needs mentioning, I love every Jo Chen cover

  9. I didn’t like most of the one-shots but the last issue was a great return to form and I’m really looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.

  10. Didn’t like the one shots.

  11. My only problem with this issue was that I spent so much time trying to figure out who Twilight is that it took me out of the issue.  Otherwise, great job.  I’m constantly amazed at how well the characters ‘voices’ are captured.  I’m sure i’ll like it even more on the re-read.

  12. Hey look, Tara cameo!

  13. Aside from Oz talking about what he’s been doing in Tibet & the bad guys looking for the Slayers, I have no idea what the fuck was supposed to be going on in this comic.

  14. Actually, that’ what this issue was. It was almost entirely setup and exposition and Oz talking. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. I’m hoping the next one makes for a more interesting.

  15. I really liked it.

This seems to be a ‘cat and mouse’ type of arc.  So the first issue was the initial chase, and this issue is about finding how to ‘hide’ and soon we will get into how to strike back.

    Fun stuff.

  16. Maybe I’m just in a bad mood but I didn’t like this issue at all, the art seemed way off and I was lost most of the issue.  I spent most of the issue thinking about how great this series was when it first started and couldn’t wait until next issue now it’s more of habit that I keep buying this.

  17. Was the first page a last minute addition. It looked rushed and not the usual quailty from the art team. I thought last issue was good, but this one lost me again. I think the discription you guys have given are correct, this issue was a good reintroduction to Oz, but really it was filler until Twilight finds them.

I do like Twilight. Does anyone have any guessing as to who he (or she?) is? I remember hearing rumours of Xander from the future, it seems like everyone is accounted for really. Giles, Xander, Andrew and Riley are all on screen either with Twilight or while Twlight is hunting them. Angel and Spike are having their own adventures, whose left?

  18. @Zeppo My favorite theory is that it’s Pike from the movie!
