    Okay I’ll bite.

    What is this title/character about and is this a good read? Cause I saw it at my LCS and it looked interesting.

    NextChampion–

    It’s basically about a bunch of high school kids in northern California in the early ’90s. It’s not for everyone, if you’re not into relationship/slice of life comics or are turned off by manga influenced artwork, you probably wouldn’t dig it, but if you are, then you’ll probably enjoy it. It started in 1999 and has been published on and off since then. There are four volumes so far that lead up to this issue.

    Well I dont read Scott Pilgrim so that wouldnt help…

    I quickly flip threw this at my LCS and I did like the art for it. I dont know why, but (fake) magna looking art appeals to me in some way. Maybe I’ll wait for trade on this, but it certainly sounds good.

    @TNC: You need to read both Scott Pilgrim and Blue Monday, badly. some of the most fun I’ve had reading comics in awhile. The 1st SP is called Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life and the 1st  BMon is called Blue Monday: The Kids Are Alright. But with Blue Monday you can almost start with any of the books.
