Comic Books

Go ahead. Skip this issue. You’ll only be missing 20 pages of insane, wall-to-wall action as the Birds of Prey finally catch and unmask the elusive mind-controlling villain known as “Choke” – only to discover that he’s turned one of their own against them!

You’ll also be missing Black Canary vs. Ivy! Batgirl vs. Starling! Katana versus…well, that would be spoiling things, wouldn’t it?

  1. Sticking with this through issue #9.

We’ll reassess after the big reveal.

  2. Greatest solicit text ever or what?

  3. There’s too much fighting in comics, actually. I dropped this with number 5. I don’t like Batgirl being on the team, and I’m not sure about Poison Ivy. It wasn’t a bad comic, just felt like each issue was more of the same.

  4. More Saíz, please.

  5. Last issue for me.

It’s not horrible, but it’s just not very good. Poison Ivy doesn’t work for me — neither does Tattoed Lady. And Katana’s nu52 look — blah!

  6. I do not think I like Katana’s new look either however; I will give it sometime to grow on me. As far as this issue goes, I enjoyed the action and the ending really was not a suprise to me. It just seemed way to easy on how they caught “Choke”, and then Katana just slices off his head?! Wow, that seems to me that we really have crossed some lines here! BC and BG I don’t care if this is the NEW 52, there is no way they would let this slide. That was cold blooded murder and Katana needs to be taken to Justice and now that it was probably a bystandard being mind controlled now what???? Alot of contraversy here for sure.
