This whole plot is starting to coalesce a bit better than it did early on, with the Birds besieged by an office full of brainwashed civilians and Black Canary continuing to doubt herself and her team.

I’m torn on this villain, Choke. This whole brainwashing/subliminal messaging thing has led to its share of twists and turns and unexpected dangers, but to what end? What is Choke’s ultimate plan? I suppose I’m supposed to be asking these questions.

The Birds are continuing to break down, between Choke’s programming of a few of them and Canary’s concerns over the alignment of their moral compasses. Ivy’s always been a questionable addition to the team in that regard, and Katana – well, you can only do so much with a sword without killing somebody.

This is a series I want more from, but it does give me enough that I can’t complain too much in the long run.
