  1. Well, I like the serious and the action.  The cabaret….not so much.  I’m buying it anyway, so hopefully that’s just the cover.

  2. I don’t think the cabaret is going to have much to do with it but it could, aren’t they headed back to the Penguin’s club to get away from the cops (I don’t remember off the top of my head)…

  3. I’m not completely sold on this series yet.  It’s ok, but I don’t love it as much as the previous run.

  4. So far I’m still on board for this. And goddamn do I love Cliff Chiang!

  5. Seriously, Chiang needs to do more interiors.

I am enjoying this title.  I wish it came out more often.  I can’t wait to see where Gail is taking us.

  6. @ctrosejr: More often than monthly?

  7. The cover is both good and bad. Good in that it’s an AMAZING piece of art; bad in that it makes Benes art pale in comparison and makes me want to see Chiang be the main penciler for this comic.

Also, the preview for this issue was hysterical. "Penguin party in my pants." 😀

  8. Another solid issue. A very meaty comic in terms of story, and I can’t wait to see how this ends.

  9. So . . . did anyone else’s copy have 8 pages of Batgirl in the middle of it? Because mine did. I have no idea what happened during the majority of this story. But I can tell you what happened in the middle of Batgirl.

  10. @Wheelhands Mine was like that too.

  11. @Prax: That’s some bullshit. I had to read it like three times to make sure I wasn’t losing it. Good to know I’m not alone at least.

Oh well, the beginning and end of this issue get a 3/5 from me.

  12. In the middle of each issue of this new run I’ve thought "I think I might drop this book", but then something happens by the end that gets my psyched for next issue.  Gail, you got me!
