  1. great cover

  2. The pacing’s been odd and I’m not a fan of Miranda’s art, but I’m curious to see what happens next, so there’s that.

  3. Damn. That may be my cover of the week.

  4. Wow. this was really bad. I’ve usually enjoyed Simone’s writing, but here everything is so overwritten and forced.

  5. Yea, at times Simone seems to be ineffectually over-the-top, like she takes things too far but can’t pull it off.

  6. I thought this was well written, but it looked like it was drawn by a 5th grader. Terrible art.

  7. @WadeWilson

I’m with you.  I enjoyed the story quite a bit, but the art was horrible.  Black Canary suddenly looked like a teenager in many panels, and Huntress’ ethnicity appeared to change from being of Italian descent to Asian.

I’m not quite sure if I understand the new dynamic for Barbara after this month but if I understand it right, Proxy will be the one handling the day to day contact with other heroes, and Barbara is going to be the “silent partner” just doing the strategizing behind the scenes?

  8. Hmm, just got to this and everything didn’t come together so well.  I was left thinking, “so Oracle has faked her own death… whatever.”  10 issues in and this series keeps coming up just short of grabbing me.  I like the team but I’m not interested in their adventures.

I don’t think the art was horrible but it didn’t do anything for me.  And that’s a key problem with the book – constant art changes.  I was digging Ed Benes’ stuff in the first few issues.  I’m buying more than I’m reading so it’s time to drop this.
