This is such a great book. I wish I could explain how much I love this book, but it’s so hard. The way Batman is represented in this book is so similar to how zombies are shown in Walking Dead. It’d integral to the story, but it’s more about the people. I’m in 100%.
That cover is amazing and I cannot wait to see more of The Kingdom.
finally the origin issue. i’ve enjoyed the first three issues but it’s felt a little too decompressed for my tastes. interested to see Chriscross here too.
Decompressed?
This book was going balls out for the first three issues.
Agreed! We jumped right into the action!!!
Yes but nothing much actually happened. Batwing & Massacre fight and then recover and then fight again. and then recover. for three issues.
After checking out the previews for this issue, I gotta say I’m a little iffy on the art. Definitely a departure from Oliver.
didn’t know oliver only did the cover, so i was really disappointed flipping through the book.
Winick gave the book a huge Unknown Soldier flavor with this issue. Really like what he did with David in this issue.
Batwing sorry, CANCELLED!!
(from my pull list that is)

Great story, well written, but I gotta knock off a point for the art. It’s not bad, it’s just not as beautiful as it was.
Yeah, I kept thinking this was feeling like the recent unknown soldier vertigo series, which I loved. So is this group, the kingdom, something that has been in DC comics before? A google search just brings up kingdom come related info. I feel like those deaths should mean something, but since I’ve never heard of them, I could care less. And that could be what is keeping me from just loving this book.
