For the Red Robin readers, the crossover doesn’t pick up until next issue. You should still read this anyway, since this is one of the best books being made.
@Slockhart: Thanks for the heads up.
Its a light week for me, I might go ahead and pick this up regardless.
Just be warned that this is part 3 of an arc.
That’s a great cover.
i cannot wait for the conclusion to this arc, it has been excellent
Agree with the cover, great composition and action – line work has a very Ryan Sook style.
Will probably hop into this book during the Red Robin crossover next month. Hearing great things ’bout this series.
I wonder if they’re going to rush #8 to print before Red Robin #10. I suppose I could look that up, but I’m not curious enough to compensate for my laziness.
This is such a guilty pleasure for me. I give my girl crap all the time for watching gossip girl/secret life/desperate housewives, but secretly i enjoy the jokes made in this book probubly more than an other book out, and it’s basically the comic equivilent to gossip girl. I LOVE THIS BOOK! for the love of god, dont let her see this post!
all the bat books have been great so i’m picking this up and maybe the last two issues as well since this is part 3 of an arc
@RoiVampire – yeah, start with #5. To me this arc has been better than the first arc. I mean, if your looking for more, then the first 4 issues are still really great, but 5 is the absolute perfect place to start this series.
@Noto
Batgirl 8 and Red Robin 10 are scheduled for the same week.
Another 5* issue. I can’t get enough of this freakin book.
this was a better batman and robin story than the actual batman and robin title this week
A month ago, I would’ve said that the best ongoing out right now is either Green Lantern or Chew. Now, it’s either Sweet Tooth or Batgirl. This book is just too damn good. It’s my POTW for I believe the 4th consecutive issue.
Loved the book. Hate her new ride. Maybe it will grow on me.
I just wasn’t that impressed here. I’ve loved the series thus far, but not as much with this issue. It struck me as a little ‘childish’? I use that word as loosely as possible. Not a bad book, but not very good either.
This series is rocking so much. I hope it last long…
@Crucio. Totally agree about Batgirl’s "bike" (. . . is it even a bike?)
A mix of Kirby with a Star Wars pod racer – but totally impractical.
I’m guessing it’s was based on the need to have it cannon project her . . .
Hopefully this ride will change when a new artist comes aboard (like all vehicles seem to change with each artist.)
I hope BQ Miller and Lee Garbett stay on this book for a long, long time.
This continues the new trend of every other Batgirl (3, 5 and now 7) getting POTW. Just a tremendously fun book and, after Red Robin (my POTW last week), I can’t wait for the crossover.
I never would have thought my favorite Bat books would be Batigirl, Detective and Red Robin, and not the main two.
