B.P.R.D.: 1948 #1

The Nazi occult bureau threatened to destroy the peace that followed the end of World War II. One year after the war, Professor Bruttenholm, guardian of the child Hellboy, enlisted a special task force to connect the dots between a series of massacres and a mad vampire nobleman. Now the B.P.R.D. launches an investigation of an atomic-fueled space-travel experiment that’s apparently unleashed horrific monsters in the Utah desert.

The end of the secret origins trilogy!

Praise for B.P.R.D.: 1947:

“It has aspects of pulp, horror (of course), and historical fiction. All while maintaining the same tone and mood. The continuity maintained over years now of stories is very impressive, and “1947” never wavers in that execution.” —Comic Book Resources

  1. MAX FIUMARA!!!!

  2. It’s too bad that Joshua Dysart isn’t working on this one, too. His “1947” was spectacular.

  3. 46 and 47 are two of my favorite bprd stories. I can’t wait to get going on this one. I really want an omnibus of all 3 someday.

  4. Not that it’s super important, but aren’t they supposed to be going to standard numbering with the next issue of Return of the Master? Last issue was 99, and the next is supposed to be 100. Makes me wonder where this mini falls.
