  1. I will be picking this book up for the first time this week (only for the crossover). Has it been good?

  2. This actually hasn’t been that bad.  There have been some characters that we have seen in the past year that I found myself caring about.  Bad thing is that they graduated and now we are watching a new group of heroes being trained.  With a rotating cast switching out members faster than the New Avengers, it could run into trouble with having characters you don’t want to get invested in cause they will move them on in about 7 issues.

Otherwise, the book has been ok.  Nothing real steller, but its been ok.  I’m continueing to pull this one since issue #1.

  3. Thinking of jumping in on this as well this week.  I already get New Avengers and Mighty Avengers, so might as well grab this as well.  I don’t pull that many books a month anyway and the concept behind this book seems really cool.

  4. Well , I have already bought every single tie so far.  I can’t stop now.

  5. Since Slott and Caselli are back this issue its totally worth getting. The first arc was great and the second was too but the fill in issues with Gage and Uy were weak at best. Cant wait!!

  6. I have been grooving on Caselli art from his GI joe run with Casey, really enjoy his work.

  7. Probably the best book Marvel puts out. I actually liked Gage’s issues(how could you not like Butterball??), and he and Slott will make an awesome writing team.

  8. Picked this up and the TPB Vol 1.  Just need to fill in the gaps between that and this issue now.

  9. New guy on the block here, but Avengers: The Initiative has never failed to entertain me.  That’s one of my personal key criteria.  I highly recommend it.

  10. Welcome aboard, jovial1!

  11. Yes, these issues have been amazing. It is a shame the SI tie-ins are better thean Si itself.

  12. well avengers initiative has yet to let me down.  it looks like i may be in this one for the long hall.

  13. This was probably my favorite issue of this book yet. I love the original 3-D Man and they treated that legacy with honor (which is rare for such an admittedly goofy character).  Loved that they had the brothers from the original character there to pass the mantle (or goggles, in this case).

    Good stuff all around.
