    I feel like I haven’t enjoyed any of Bendis’s Avengers stuff since before Secret Invasion (other than AVENGERS: PRIME). I’m passing on this until I hear some positive buzz, I wish Marvel would avoid event tie-ins and just let the man tell a long, self-contained story.

      @casey – Bendis had a nice long run from the launch of New Avengers until the leadup to Secret Invasion, I feel like he hasn’t built any momentum ever since

      Concur. I would really enjoy seeing someone else write Avengers for a while. Bendis is great and all, but it’s been the same kinda great for years.

    This was good….but…I decided to limit my Marvel comics to just Ultimate Spider-man. I’m basically sticking with DC.
    I get about 17 comics a month. I’m pretty much at my limit.

    I was really hoping to see the new line-up for the post-Fear Itself status quo, but it looks like we have to wait until next issue to see who makes the cut. The Jarvis/Wong interaction was pretty funny though.

    I hate how Hawkeye’s costume is changing to reflect what Jeremy Renner will be wearing in the upcoming Avengers movie. Hawkeye’s purple costume with the mask is so cool. I understand that the change is to make it less confusing to new readers who will see the Avengers movie and then want to buy a comic book, but I still hate it.

      I sort of agree, but it doesn’t bother me that much. Comic costumes change all the time so I’m sure he’ll be back to the classic outfit before too long. Plus it’s kind of fun to look back at comics from days gone by and see what the heroes were wearing at a given time. Like a weird time capsule reflecting what was going on at the time.

      I really didn’t like the costume change either — I much prefer the classic Hawkeye look. Is it just me, or was Acuna changing Clint’s actual facial features and such to be closer to Renner’s? That’s actualy what’s bugging me the most about the altered appearence . . .

    Marvel needs more detectives because there’s no way Batman would’ve let that lady sneak off with evidence.
