  1. Easily my most anticipated read of the week!

  2. This has POTW written all over it ..

  3. Hey, wheres Orson Scott…uh… oh wait…. nevermind.

    😉

  4. I bought the Parker/Samnee story when it was first released, but I think I’m buying it again in print, due to its’ prettiness.

  5. This sounds like a comic book I might enjoy.

Parker and Samnee? That could get me to the store.

  6. This is digital only? Are they planning a paper release?

  7. All my friends who have been getting the digital have been telling me it’s really good. I didn’t read it because I want to really enjoy the print version.

  8. I haven’t liked many of the covers Hitch has done lately, but this is great.

  9. I was gonna skip this, but I decided to pick it up and flip through it a little. Bought it after all. This has promise written all over it.

  10. Oh, hello Superman! It’s been so long, I almost didn’t recognize you!

A masterful anthology, and a fitting tribute to the greatest super hero. POTW.

  11. The only story I really enjoyed here was the Samnee one, I don’t know if I’ll be back next issue

  12. Big superman fan, but this was a waste of time..rotten

    • I gave it a 2. I wouldn’t say it was rotten, but there it was nothing more than okay

I don’t see how anybody can make this their POTW, unless they are still pouting about Superman not wearing his underpants on the outside anymore.

  13. This is certainly nothing ground breaking. Three by-the-numbers Superman stories. But they are three solid Superman stories by great artists. And he’s wearing his proper costume (I really don’t see the problem with it now that I see it back in print). This is what I was looking for so it was delightful. Until further notice this is my official Superman and they New 52 is just some Elseworlds story.

  14. I just don’t really enjoy this, much the same as I’m not a big fan of Legends of the Dark Knight. Maybe it’s because they don’t carry the weight of continuity.

Some would say ‘unburdened by continuity.’

    • I didn’t really enjoy this, either. The first story was just there, the second was fun (though I hate Lemire’s art) and the third was okay. Not a great return on a four buck investment.

I only read the first issue of LODK and then gave up on that – looks like I will be doing the same here. There’s only so much satisfaction you can get from 10 page stories.

Yep. For me, that’s a selling point.

Also, with titles like this, LotDK, and A+X I can skip issues and not miss any story build-up.

Very much into comics like that in this day and age.

  15. Love the Chris Samnee stuff.

It wasn’t enough to make me buy the issue though, or start getting the series.

It will make a quaint trade, though, which I may read some day.

Chris Samnee should just get a Superman mini already, so I can read that trade, as well.

That one I might even buy.
