  1. Pulled via amazon 🙂

  2. I’ve waited since it came out in issues for the hardcover. It’s been a long wait.

  3. This will be my first Absolute and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!!!!!!

  4. can’t wait for my monthly DCBS delivery

  5. Can’t wait for X-mas to get this

  6. Recently re-read this.  Very good.  But isn’t the animated TV series by Bruce Timm a better quality story for Superman than this?  (Although, Timm has made the ASS animated movie as well, but the tone seems very different from his series)

  7. Mine was shipped last week via book depos

  8. Mine was shipped last week via book depository. $50 Australian including shipping=bargain.

  9. If only I had the money.

Oh screw it! I’m robbing that bank today!

  10. $50 buck Australian?!

  11. Pretty ridiculous price for 12 issues . . .

Love the run but the two hardcovers are good enough.

This isn’t the Watchmen or V or even Planetary.

  12. I bought this for $50 from DCBS

  13. @ScorpionMasada: I agree it is expensive but I don’t think it’s fair to say that it’s not worth it just because its not one of those three books you listed. Everybody has there own taste right and personally I didn’t like any of the three books you listed so I wouldnt get them in absolute but thats just me. I have this is the two hardcovers too but the art will look great in absolute for sure.

It is expensive but for how popular it is I can see why they can sell it for that price….altho I will admit its not completly fair for me to say anything about the price because I have 90.00 store credit at my shop so I get it for really cheap!

This is the only thing by grant morrision I like and it’s definitely worth the absolute…. 🙂

  14. @Edward, actually just checking my order it was more like $55 Au, but still a bargain.  Ordered from Book depository back in August. They had a heap of DC preorders at 50% off, plus I had 10% off voucher.  Also picked up a complete set of Blackest night Hardcovers for $15 a pop!  Only downsize is they charge your order straight away not when they are shipped.

  15. Holy Moses, I have to check that site out. Thanks Meanmrmustid

  16. For everyone getting set to re-read this:

  17. I asked a mate about this book depositary site. He said "what the fuck is wrong with you? everyone know about that" I guess i was little late on that one

  18. @RolandofGilead: Read that this morning. It’s a great extra layer that I didn’t see first time around.

  19. A hundred bucks?! Jeez, I’ll just hunt down the paperbacks, thanks!

  20. @CaseyJustice: $67.49 on Amazon

  21. @conor you forgot to mention that if you order it from Amazon to be sure to get there through the ifanboy link and help you guys out 😀

  22. @greenbillblue: Of course!

  23. @conor – Wishlisted! Via iFanboy, of course.

  24. A 40% off Borders coupon makes these absolutes a lot more palatable on the wallet.

I know what I’m getting with the next coupon I get.

  25. @conor: Any chance of a video show on this after the animated feature drops?

  26. I haven’t read this in this format yet, but I cracked it open last night. It is important to inspect the investment for possible damage. You don’t want to wait 2-3 months to break it open and find glued pages or rips.

Anyways, Chip Kidd is the designer here. If you don’t know who he is, well lets just say he is the Master of Design. One of the very best, if not the best. He writes a fantastic into for this book too. After doing a quick skim of the pages, I went right into the extras. There is some great stuff in the back here. Unused covers, sketches, notes, etc… . Do you want a Superman Bible? Buy this. Even my 10-year old daughter was mesmerized by this presentation. The picture you see here on the site is actually the dust jacket cover. When you pull it out of the slipcase, it is like seeing a light source originate straight from this cover. Simply beautiful. I asked my daughter is this cover reminded her of something. She said it reminded her of Jesus. Yes, it is quite clear what affect this was going for. Quite biblical indeed Quitely. Buy this. Superman loves you. 😉
