Cyclops by Eric Canete
Hellboy by Mitch Breitweiser
Nightwing by Ibrahim Moustafa
Ant-Man by Brion Salazar
Hellboy by Gabriel Hardman
She Hulk by Tom Fowler
Superman by Scott Chantler
Trans Am 76 by Phil Noto
Lando and Lobot by Skottie Young
Zatanna by Bill Sienkiewicz
And I’m off to buy a Trans Am.
I dare one of those construction workers to whistle at She-Hulk.
I love the Reed Richards in the background of the she-hulk pic.
The Zatanna and Trans Am 76 sketches could cause break ups-
@WeaklyRoll I didn’t spot that. Good eye. Adds a cool diminsion to the image.
Both Hellboy sketches are equally amazing!
The Superman one made me smile…really nice sketch.
Even though i generally dislike the “shadow is your inner self” concept due to its overused on everything-ness, I think that composition really works well, and could also work for say a Captain Marvel…
One more reason why Skottie Young is my favorite artist working today! Awesome!
afrodisiac calrissian?
I love Hardman’s Hellboy, and Chantler’s Superman is so excellent. New computer backgrounds abound!
I saw Eric Canete at a show recently and wanted to get something from him but he was super busy with other pieces. Instead, I got to just stand-by and watch him work for a quick minute, which was also enjoyable.
That Zatanna takes my breath away… The Superman is the best I’ve seen as far as capturing the “idea” of Superman on paper, and I just love the She-Hulk with Richards in the background smoking his pipe and giving orders.
Never heard of Trans Am 76 before, but I’ll be damned if that Noto piece doesn’t get me to do some further investigation. Could anyone here maybe shed some light on the character or title for me?
@jwaesch I think it’s just a piece, not related to a comic or character. It’s just what he named it.
I love this feature. So great every week.
@jwaesch Phil Noto draws hot girls. That’s about it.
That Superman is tremendous. 100% pitch perfect.
Trans Am is the title of one of Phil Noto’s books. Most of what he draws is his own creation
Another great edition of the best feature on a great sight. I love the Ant-Man, and Bill Sienkiewicz is, as always, an absolute master.
Cool. My She-Hulk commission made the Weekly Sketch Up! If you have the opportunity to get a Fowler piece, do it; you won‘t be disappointed!
there was a lot of good stuff this week. I would have to give a nod to the Kid/Superman piece.
