NYCC 2011 TRAILER: Justice League: Doom

Debuting at New York Comic Con this weekend has been the trailer for the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie, Justice League: Doom.

The film is based on JLA #43-46, “Tower of Babel”, written by Mark Waid and drawn by Howard Porter. The line-up of the Justice League, however, is a bit different than that of the book. It is Superman (played by Tim Daly), Batman (played by Kevin Conroy), Wonder Woman (played by Susan Eisenberg), The Flash (played by Michael Rosenbaum), Green Lantern (played by Nathan Fillion), J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter (played by Carl Lumbly), Cyborg (played by Bumper Robinson).

Justice League: Doom is set to be released in 2012.

Comments

  1. A few years back, nothing could excite me more, but this isn’t doing anything for me (yet).

  2. Looks good, all-star voice cast. I will watch it.

  3. Avatar photo JeffR (@JeffRReid) says:

Waid’s “Tower of Babel” story is one of my favorite Batman stories. Here’s hoping this version does it justice. Pun!

That voice cast looks pretty great. Fingers crossed on this one.

  4. I like!

  5. i just got chills!! that creepy laugh at the end, pitch perfect!

  6. I already miss Ed Norton

  7. You had me at Daly/Conroy/Lumbly. The rest is just a bonus.

  8. Hell. Yes.

  9. Everytime I see Superman’s old uniform I confirm that the new one is not working for me.

  10. The last Justice League animated feature – Crisis on Two Earths – was one of the best, so although it was a different cast, I have high hopes for this one!

(Daly/Conroy/Fillion? How can you go wrong?)

  11. Superman looks like a little boy. I kinda liked in Justice League and JL Unlimited when they added the lines under his eyes to make him look older, like a world-weary savior.

Good voice cast though to be sure.

  12. Michael Rosenbaum as the Flash?! All is right in the world.

  13. Looks good. The Batman vs. Bane Sequence got me.

  14. I like what DC and WP have been doing with their OVAs. Bring it on!

  15. They seem to be changing a lot from Tower of Babel (which is fine, if you ask me – I love that story, but I’m all for mixing it up). Like, I’m pretty sure that’s not R’as Al Ghul. Looks more like Vandal Savage.

    Also digging Fatcat Luthor.

  16. Looks awesome, but who are they kidding, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the story Towel of Babel. Wheres Kyle Rayner? Or Ra’s Al Ghul? instead its a story with the Legion of doom and the royal flush gang.

Still, the cast is awesome and its got Vandal Savage who is always great.

  17. I hope not too much is changed from the story. I really liked the idea that it was all just a big Bat fuckup.

  18. Tower of Babel was actually the story that got me reading Justice League for the first time pretty much ever. Looking forward to this!

  19. Last thing Dwayne Mc.Duffie wrote I think he was great in JLU and dc animation is killing it at the moment no team book as good as young justice I’m in 100%

  20. Love the direct to DVD/Bluray animated movies and Legion of Doom sounds fun, like the JLA roster but think that new Deadshot look sucks, if that was him? Give me more Steve Niles Spectre but full length and other JSA animated flicks written by guys like him and you’ve got my $, looking forward to Batman:Year One though.

  21. Conroy is the ONLY choice for a Batman voice, has always been and will always be.

Really enjoyed the 75th Anniversary box-set they did up of all their animations so I’ll def wanna pick this up too.

  22. I will watch it, but this doesn’t seem at all to be based on Tower of Babel. That being said, I get Conroy and Fillion AND ROSENBAUM??! Kick Ass!

  23. Hands down, my favorite voice actors for the League characters. That alone has me sold!
