You tell us. Who or what is the Canterbury Cricket, the most enigmatic figure in DC's Flashpoint event? Let the speculation reach its zenith here.
Until we find out in Mike Carlin and Rags Morales' Flashpoint: The Canterbury Cricket this spring, we'll be plastering the walls with newspaper clippings like John Nash.
Update – For clarity's sake, this is my personal collage, not official promo material from DC.
I’ve seen some speculation online that the Canterbury Cricket may be the British Flashpoint version of Hellgrammite, an obscure DC villain. That makes about as much sense as anything else, I guess. We shall see!
I don’t even know where to start speculating. British blue beatle? DC version of Spider-Man? Mascot to a british sports game?
I’ve heard Ambush Bug and Martian Manhunter. It could be anything. It could be Jimmy Olsen bewitched into a bug creature.
@PaulMontgomery Well, Mike Carlin is writing this issue and he was the Superman group editor when Hellgrammite popped up in some of Supes’ 90s issues. As far as I know, Carlin hasn’t had much interaction with Ambush Bug.
@JeffR Too easy. That’s a red herring.
I laughed out loud at the guest appearnce of Paul Cornell in this pic XD
Oreo= Flashpoint Jon Jonzz?

I called this on April 1 – Martian Manhunter. And I was not joking!

I assumed it was Ambush Bug.
I…see
@Paul I don’t know why buy I love it you added that cricket from DragonBall Z
I love that Penny and Desmond are up there.
I miss Lost…
Paul Cornell’s green beard is freaking me out.
Sounds like a Knight and Squire character-
From the Fiji mermaid to the faux Montauk monster to Penny and Des, this is like a personalized diagram to my heart.
I believe it might have to do with England winning the ashes. Oh wrong type of cricket…
@g0ofgnewt too soon
That photo of Paul Cornell makes me laugh every time!
