This is a fantastic panel to panel transition. Plus… I don't trust monkeys.

This has to be one of the greatest sight gags in comics history.

Remember when you first heard Luke Cage was joining the T'Bolts book? And you were like, "Huh?" There are zero question marks at this point. One of the inventive choices Marvel's made in reprogramming a series.

More creepy monkeys. Green ones. A whole exploding box of them.

Simon Archard is a dick. But he's our kind of dick.
— Paul Montgomery
Yes! Archard is the man!
@ Paul, I don’t know what you mean by “our kind of dick”…
@WeaklyRoll He’s a private dick!
Cool! Midnight is the second most famous sock monkey in comics!
And that’s why you should be reading Twilight Guardian.
He may be a man, but she’s still his cousin (kinda).
Ah, Twilight Guardian. The best comic that nobody appears to read.
@GiantRaven You, I and Conor are reading it at least. We are cool.
@Cheezdog are cousins from different dimensions off limits?
They’re not flirting.
I always imagine the utter frustration in Power Girl’s voice whenever that “figure” topic comes up.
That Knight & Squire panel reminds me of that bit in the old Conan O’Brien show, with the “Inappropriate Reaction Channel”…

Angel and Iceman had a fantastic pannel involving Namor and some bagels. That should entire anyone to read the book
even if an alternate demension cousin is still your cousin, its legal in a lot of the united states. Which i find really…. creepy consideing its not a cultural norm like it is in some parts of the world.

We have some great panels this week 😀
“Strange, Cage and Man-Thing 4ever”
What I love most about that panel from Xombi is that:
There are paintings coming to life, Nosferatu is out of the film and killing people, and animals are giving birth simultaneously around the world. Yet the last dramatic sting of this opening sequence is that a man got a Tuna Fish sandwich instead of Pulled Pork.
That’s when I knew that from then on this was going to be an insane comic.
@JNewcomb Can I be cool too, since I’m reading and loving Twilight Guardian?
Aww… I was half expecting the panel in Superman this week that made Lex stealing forty cakes actually a canonical thing.
@lifesend Yes, ok. You’re cool too.
In fact, I wrote the damned thing as a litmus test for cool…
That Young Justice panel is great fun!
Can anyone do some research on when Power Girl’s exposed rack first became a running joke in the comics themselves?
@JNewcomb Awesome, I feel like a new man already.
I may have to buy Ruse now. JUST BECAUSE OF THAT PANEL.
That Thunderbolts panel really makes me think Mike Mignola did the art for this issue…..but that’s just how close Walker’s style is to Mignola’s.
Oh, man I didn’t realise Twilight Guardian #3 was out this week! I literally just ordered a copy from ebay after seeing this (my shop is more than likely sold out now).
@lmiller31 While I’ve not gone back and done the research, I’m fairly certain that Power Girl’s exposed rack being a running joke in the comics has been pretty much since the first time she wore the exposed rack cut out. I’m pretty certain its always been handled tongue in cheek (which is pretty much needed to keep tongues from hanging out or wagging).
Did Power Girl originate from Crisis on Infinite Earths? Was the thinking behind the exposed rack as blatant as “how can we get this comic to fly off the shelves?” or is there some character reason for it…?
Power Girl’s dates back much further. I’m pretty sure she showed up in All-Star Comics in the late 70s/early 80s. I dont think she originally started with the cleavage exposure but it eventually popped up either there or in some JLA/JSA crossovers. You can see a couple other costumes here:
http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=112428&page=239 Her yellow and white full body suit with turtleneck….. and a red white and blue aerobics instructor with cape look were particularly bad.
As I recall, PG’s first appearance was in All-Star Comics #58 back in ’76 (I remember buying it when it hit my local drugstore; yes, I’m decrepit). She was part of the “Super Squad.” She showed some cleavage back then, but it was reasonable cleavage. She didn’t start smuggling beanbag chairs under her shirt until a bit later…
