PREVIEW: Batman Incorporated #3

The long-awaited third installment of Grant Morrison and Yanick Paquette's Batman Incorporated hits the shelves this week, and DC was nice enough to provide a preview.

I like that we live in an age where a Batman comic can feature a Lorca quotation, hot air balloons, explosive scorpions, and a criminal mastermind with a talkative macaw on his shoulder. Somewhere up there, Adam West is smiling.

And by "up there" I mean a master suite on the 87th floor.

Ride, Gaucho! To adventure!

Add Batman Incorporated #3 to your pull list.

Comments

  1. looks fantastic!

  2. At last =)

  3. is it just me or has this series lost steam? it seems like no one has talked about it since the first issue came out. and not just fans either. i haven’t heard much of anything from Morrison aside from interviews right before issue 1 came out

  4. Avatar photo Paul Montgomery (@fuzzytypewriter) says:

Because it hasn’t been coming out.

  5. looks great! good story and fun comics trumps scheduling any day of the week.

@RoiVampire  –There have only been 2 issues…and there were delays…so i guess its lost buzz maybe.

  6. I am so looking forward to this.  This is such a call back to the Black Glove trade.  Awesome.

  7. @PaulMontgomery Maybe so but even books that have been delayed get talked about. maybe i’ve just missed any interviews Grant has done since issue one came out or any articles about the series. basically i’m saying that i forgot this series was even happening.

  8. @RoiVampire  –thats fair..i kinda forgot about it as well.

  9. Well this looks silly and fun like a lot of Morrison work.

Still not a fan of the art though……and I’m sorry but the constant delays have hurt my excitement for this book.

  10. Don’t get me wrong, I’m gonna read it, but… I find myself not loving this series. Not liking it even. It’s just sort of “meh” so far. I know, Morrison plays the long game, so I will try to wait it out…

  11. Well, I for one have been loving it. I don’t mind the lateness so much cos it’s always worth the wait. Maybe cos I don’t buy comics as regularly as they come out (not having a LCS here in Oxford UK) so i barely notice it. Then it’s always a nice surprise to find it on ebay. And what’s lateness once you’ve got the whole story – it doesn’t affect the quality in the long run. Better that it’s good than rushed and crappy.

The art isn’t my favourite but it’s certainly growing on me, and i think it works for this mad-cap high-octane, global adventure style batman. Morrison can take as long as he needs, the proof is in the pudding.

  12. I, for one, have always been a fan of goofy Batman, so this book has been right up my alley so far.

  13. I love this book but I am really concerned about these delays…

  14. I for one welcome our new alien overlords…..wait sorry wrong website.

I think it says something about the love for the book when only 14 (two of which are mine) on this preview. Something like this months ago should be well in the 50-60 range by this time of day.
