Get to pulling this Wednesday's books, and then let us know what you're looking forward to most, what you're dropping, what others should be buying and anything you're thinking. Be heard, because we need you, iFanbase!

What are the iFanboys buying? Check their pull lists out here: Conor, Ron, and Josh.

And what about the rest of the staff? What are they buying? Check out their pull lists: Dave, Jim, Paul, Mike, Chris, Tom, Molly, Ryan, Josh, Ben, Ali, Chris and Matt.

This week Ron has the Pick!

Bonus Question: You've been prosecuted for a crime you didn't commit in [insert home town here]. While being transported from the courthouse to your new home for the next 25 years to life, a freak accident springs you from not only the prison bus but your shackles. Do you run? If so, where do you run to? And who can you trust along the way?

Comments

  1. BQ: Is the freak accident involving the Thundercats and a cigar chomping T-Rex?

Solid week as always: Detective Comics, Deadpool, FF, and Xombi.

  2. Avatar photo Jeff Reid (@JeffRReid) says:

Only five things this week. I’m really enjoying Ruse, so here’s hoping this issue continues the excellence that this series is providing.

BQ: I’d run to Rio to meet up with Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson. There, we’d attempt to steal $100+ million in cash from a drug dealer in a series of awesome chases and explosions through the streets of Brazil. Our final chase would defy the laws of physics but it would be amazing.

Also, The Rock would be there.

  3. Didn’t know it was this week BUT:

Go out and get ‘DC Comics Presents: Green Lantern-Willworld’! Amazing art by the late Seth Fisher will just have you astonished. It’s a reprint of a trade which I don’t think is in print anymore and for a low cost of $7.99 (plus tax obviously) it is just essential for any comic fans. Pull it!

  4. Is every title at Marvel biweekly now? They’re killing my wallet. BQ: I would flee to Latveria. I doubt they have an extradition treaty with the U.S.

  5. BQ: 25 years in prison?  I’d mix some ammonia and some bleach and then inhale deeply (don’t try this at home, youngsters) based on the assumption that I’d be caught eventually.

  6. Light week, with Astonishing Wolvie/Spidey topping my stack, rounded out with the finale of War of the Lanterns, Detective and Ruse.

BQ: Prosecuted, but not convicted? In reality I’d prolly just stay put, hoping that would lend more weight to my pleas of innocence. Plus, I would never be able to disappear into a crowd.

In the revisionist autobiography I’ll one day write?  I shave, change my name and flee into the Canadian wilderness, buying a cabin in cold cash (that I’ve robbed from various liquor stores and preschools along the way), content to live out my life in seclusion and safety.

That is, until an especially tenacious young FBI agent tracks me down. Not to arrest me, mind you, but because I possess a unique set of skills necessary for a deadly, top-secret mission. The stakes? The entire free world. The reward? A clean record, and the chance to return to the life I once knew. The mission…?

    Impossible.

  7. @Stuclach dude, they need economists in prison, trust me!

@CaseyJustice That is a great outcome!

I’d be pretty much screwed, there are 8 prisons in my city; anywhere i’d turn i’d run into one of them. So I’d stay put so I wouldn’t get any more years put on sentence.

  8. Detective Comics, Power Man & Iron Fist, Strange Adventures, Venom, and Xombi

BQ: if I told ya, I’d have to kill ya

  9. @WeaklyRoll  Yes, but I don’t want to fulfill their needs.

  10. This has got to be one of the biggest pull-weeks I’ve ever had.

I couldn’t find the Robert E. Howard Conan Anthology #2 on the list, is it coming out this week?

  11. 10 physical books for me along with the 3 Green Lantern books, which I intend on picking up on comixology when/if they show up in a couple of weeks. Also, picking up the Mystique, and Emma Frost collection.

But the book that has to take the cake is Ducktales #1. I mean any week with Ducktales can’t be bad.

  12. 10 books for me.
Come on guys. Only 13 pulls (at the time of this rant) for Power Man and Iron Fist?!?!?!

  13. Most looking forward to: Super Dinosaur #2 & Astonishing Spider-Man/Wolerine conclusion.
Curious about: Kirby Genesis, Venom, & Xombi.
    Switching to trades: FF.
Dangling by a thread: Action Comics

BQ: I’ll just go to the nearest neighbor’s & call 911.  As CaseyJustice pointed out, I’m not convicted.  My defense attorney should be psyched.  I imagine that the neighbor will probably be pretty freaked out, though.

If, however, I was convicted, I’m jumping on my imaginary motorcycle from last week & getting the hell out of there.  Screw that!

  14. FF and Amazing Spiderman are what i’m really excited about as well as Action and Detective which i’m enjoying but not very excited about. (does that make sense?)

Very interested in that new DC Strange Adventures, although the price point is scary.

  15. It’s a great week with Detective, FF, Venom, Secret Warriors, Strange Adventures, Wolverine, Butcher Baker, Astonishing Spidey/Wolvie and loads more.  Also loving the look of the dv8 collection.  And a new JLI collection.

BQ:  One suggestion folks…trust no one.  SOMEONE–ALWAYS–TALKS!

  16. Just the Green Lantern Corps trade.

BQ: I kept thinking of a funny answer to put here, but it just made me want to rewatch The Fugitive. You win this round, iFanboy!

  17. I like how War Of The Green Lanterns has 3 books out this week and then story is pretty much wrapping up.  That’s how to do en event – self-contained, snappy.  Just a shame very little has happened.  Swapping coloured pyjamas ain’t as much fun as it used to be.

Bigger week than I was hoping though.  My bank account weeps.

  18. @Selfstyler  its the last week so its bigger, and i wonder if rons pick is uncanny or ?

  19. 7 of 7 Marvel, with the possibility of also picking up Kirby Genesis.

    Captain America #618
    FF #4
    Iron Man 2.0 #5
    Mighty Thor #2
    Onslaught Unleashed #4 (OF 4)
    Secret Avengers #13
    Venom #3 $2.99

  20. Lots to like this week.  Looking forward to some down time with some comic book reading.

BQ: I would probably run, but I’d get caught in a heart beat.  I’d probably try to hide in campgrounds and the back roads of the USA.

  21. <—- ummmmm, guess

  22. BQ: I’d find a small, quiet town and shack up with some poor shmoe who’s cute enough and dumb enough to take the fall when the cops come looking for me.

  23. Butcher Baker, Tarot Witch of the Black Rose and Xombi for me. Maybe Action.

  24. Great week of comics!

@CaseyJustice thats the greatest answer to a BQ  I have read ib a long time, good shit.

BQ: I would be able to trust my wife but to avoid getting her in trouble I would go to a bar, (ask for a tab) call the police and tell them to come get me, drink till they got there and hope my honesty would get me some points at my re-trial.
