Comments

  1. BQ: Awesome weekend in San Francisco, great weather, great everything.

  2. I’m really looking forward to Green Lantern and Nemesis this week.

BQ: it was raining whole day Saturday and I got wet. However Sunday was really sunny. I think lava was running away from me this time 😉

  3. BQ: Spent saturday celebrating the Persian New Year with a delicious outdoor barbeque, then it was off to ice cream and baseball in the park. Early summer FTW!

  4. Really looking forward to Amazing Spider-man and Power Girl this week.

BQ:  It was super nice during the work week (which was awesome for St. Patrick’s Day!) but it dropped from the 60’s down into the 30’s and rained all weekend, now its back up to the mid 50’s….everyone is getting sick!

  5. Amazing Spider-Man, Power Girl, Superman (just for the crossover, I swear!) and Robocop.

BQ: Sure. Let’s go with lava.

  6. Small week but filled with juicy goodness.

Deadpool #21, Green Lantern #52, and Thor #608. Also the trade every needs to read at least once is finally reprinted. The Simpsons and Futurama Crisis!

BQ: Great weekend, weather wise. Sunny and beautiful.

  7. Most Excited for:

    1) Orc Stain #2

    2)New Avengers #64

    3)Wildcats #21

BQ: SXSW in Austin!  It suddenly got cold on Saturday. But I met fuckin Gilbert Shelton! Score!

  8. Gi Joe #16
    Green Lantern #52
Transformers Last Stand O/T Wreckers #3

BQ: Nice and warm with scattered showers.  No sandbags, no lava.
  9. BQ: No, in fact it was the opposite with about 5-6 inches of snow.  Today though, awesome.

  10. Can’t wait to read Power Girl, GL, and New Avengers this week.

BQ:Very nice weather here in NYC over the weekend, started getting our gardens ready

  11. Really looking forward to Marvel Project and ASM.  New Avengers and Green Lantern should be great and very curious about Nemesis.

BQ:  The week was nice, then the weekend was cold and a little bit of snow.  Michigan’s last ‘fuck you’ weather before Spring.

  12. Man, I was really hoping that Flash Secret Files was coming out this week.

BQ: It was nice, but because I’m a student who’s behind on his studies I stayed inside.

  13. BQ: Dayton, was sunny and beautiful!!!!

  14. BQ: Bay Area was warm and amazing. Still is, in fact. I’ll be taking my bike out for a spin a few times this week while I’m on vacation.

  15. Eleven books? Apprently Marvel decided to put out every book I pick up this week.

BQ…this weekend was beautiful in Kentucky. Then today the temperature dropped THIRTY degrees…stupid weather….

  16. New Scalped!!!!

BQ: Live in Kansas and it was 65 degrees on Thursday. By Saturday, we got 8 inches of snow.  Today it is 5o degrees.  Gotta wear something from every clothing category in the past 4 days!

  17. Ron will pick Shuddertown #1 or Uncanny X-Men.  That’s my prediction knowing his tastes.  Has to be one of those 2.

  18. Chris Clark will pick Green Lantern #52.  That’s my prediction.  I know his tastes.

  19. @stuclach-That Chris Clark, he can be an a-hole sometimes. But he does have good taste.

  20. @drake – I agree.  He’s the guy you love to hate and hate to love.

I notice you are picking up Power Girl #10. I think I’m going to take the advice this site often gives and just jump in by picking that up (despite the fact that the team is leaving).

  21. Good stuff this week – really looking forward to Nemisis, the Siege books, GL of course, Captain America, Bisley again drawing Hellblazer, Scalped, The Guild, Kitty’s return in Uncanny, Superman, Power Girl. Lots of strong books.

BQ: Beautiful weather – shorts all weekend and even dusted off the grill on Sunday. However, most of it was spent inside watching DVDs of Breaking Bad S2 in order to get set for the third season. Love that show – "Don’t call me a skank."

  22. oh man, three Avengers books, Uncanny, Marvels Project, Cap, Secret Warriors (am I a Marvel fan?)!  it’s gonna be a regular battle royale for my POTW.

BQ: I try very hard to not let the weather affect my day-to-day life.  but I find it VERY ironic that I spent two beautiful springy day in NH resting a twisted ankle.  oh well

  23. Not much this week that I’ll actually be picking up this week, just Green Lantern so I may pick up something new at the shop

    BQ:

Friday: pretty nice, got drenched in Dublin trying to find my hostel, though

Saturday: absolutely gorgeous, plus I was in Dublin. Spent half of the day in pubs watching rugby, though, so can’t be entirely sure

Sunday: on trains most of the day, but it was nice when I finally got back to London, so I call it a wash overall

  24. @Stuclach-I picked up Power Girl three issues ago and didn’t have any problem understanding it. Good, fun book.

  25. @drake – Thanks.  I’m looking forward to it.

  26. Looking forward the most to Batman Streets of Gotham, an under the radar book that has been pretty solid the last few issues.

BQ: It’s been sunny and warm for about 10 straight days now. Easy to get used to but with the two weeks prior being all rain all the time, I won’t take it for granted.

  27. HUGE week for me on account of I was able to get to my LCS last week so I’m Merging pull lists:

Amazing Spider-Man 625 and 626, Guardians of the Galaxy 24, Muppet Show 3, Captain America 604, Green Lantern 52, Hellblazer 265, Northlanders 26, Power Girl 10, and Mysterius the Unfathomable and Mesmo Delivery trades!

BQ: We had ridiculously nice weather last week, so much so that I busted out a lawn chair and read my Scud The Disposable Assassin book while drinking a jack and coke.

  28. Small week for me…maybe a good time to pick up Mysterius and Northlanders Vol. 3

BQ: this weekend was absolutely fantastic. spent it running and studying for my finals.

  29. looking forward to avengers initiative and green lantern the most

  30. @drakedangerz Power Girl is fantastic, you should pick it up when/if it ever gets collected. So dissapointed about Conner leaving but did you see the pic by the new art team? Gorgeous!

  31. Light week it seems, though I’m really looking forward to Green Lantern and Nemesis.

BQ: Finally, a snow-free and rain-free NYC weekend!  I got lazy with it the first day and finished Bioshock 1 so that I can take one game off the list of 20 others I have yet to beat.  Then spent the next day walking around our town and the park with the wife, basking in smoothies.  Mmmmm…

  32. Help

So, I’m new to this. What are the rules for "pulling" comics? Do you have to own them? Do you have to have read them? Or can you just pull comics that you’re interested in?

  33. Amazing Spiderman and Green Lantern. Also really looking forward to Uncanny.

BQ: Nothing but sun shiny days

  34. BQ: Very Very nice. Got up to 60s. Then Sat. brought rain and the cold. Lame

  35. @THX – You pull the books you want to purchase this week.  That’s all.

Then you can rate and review them, and make one your pick of the week.

  36. Wot a crazy week for books. Holy expletive, but no Batman.

  37. One of those "nothing new" weeks for me, or as I prefer to call them "catch up on Walking Dead weeks".

BQ: Just as things were starting to pick up and the sun started to shine again, it rains all this morning like it’s going out of fashion. Typical Scotland! And on the one day when I don’t get a lift to college. Bah!

  38. Perfect week – 6 books.

BQ: Weather beautiful here in southern california.

  39. I love flood and volcano humor.

  40. Books: GL 52, I wanna know what’s up with this white lantern thing.

Weekend BQ: It was awesome here, I went mountain biking and played softball. Fun in the sun.

  41. Looking forward to lots this week.  Definitely intrigued by a Gaydos drawn ASM, new GL, Scalped, and Marvels Project.  I’m really excited for the Phonogram 2 trade, which collects one of my favorite minis of last/this year.

BQ: The week was warm and great.  The weekend was cold, rainy and sucky.  Today continues the misery. 🙁

  42. @Kick-Ass

    Thanks for the info. 🙂

  43. ASM, Scalped, GL, and maybe Nemesis( I’m fed up with Millar, but just can’t seem to help myself).

BQ: Catchin some rays down by the pool in Sacramento. Just amazing weather out here this past week.

  44. the weather was fantastic this last weekend. I went to from Canberra to Sydney for a design conference called Semi-permanent. Great weather, sunny, warm (a bit stciky but what are you going to do?) and an awesome series of speakers at this thing.

BQ: Fantastic weekend in NYC. Had brunch outdoors on Sunday, and had a great time at a wedding on Saturday nite.

  49. Glamourpuss #12
    Green Lantern #52
    New Avengers #63
The Marvels Project #7 (OF 8)

BQ: A Minging Saturday followed by an OK Sunday. Spring needs to get here quick

  50. Big big week, with some big releases but I find myself most looking forward to some of the Vertigo stuff, like Scalped and Northlanders as both series have been so stellar lately.  Still, Nemesis gives me kind of a guilty sense of excitement – it’s the comic version of junk food, fun and entertaining but possibly rotting the brain…Also Phonogram and Night Owls trades (20s set arcane adventures!).

BQ: We did indeed have sun, Sunday was gorgeous.  Trouble is I was working lates, so I mostly slept or worked.  Ah, well, c’est la vie….

  51. Amazing Spider-Man, Glamourpuss, marvels project and X-Factor for me.

BQ: It was beautiful out. Took the baby on her first trip to the mall, just as an excuse to get out of the house. A good time was had by all.

  52. Green lantern #52, Nemesis #1 , Power Girl #10, Secret Warriors #14, The Marvels Project #8!!!

Good week for me. Last weeks amazing spiderman seriously had me missing Four Eyes 🙁 What happened to that story?

BQ:"its a beautiful day mommy!"-Lil Cavan. Im in Miami, went to the beach with my kid on my birthday, had some gelato then chased him all over the place.

  53. Just X-Factor and Scalped.

BQ: Visiting friends and family in NY and it was in the 60s…until it rained and wasn’t.

  54. Third light week in a row for me. I’m starting to worry that half  the titles on my pull list have been cancelled without my knowledge.

Just GL, Batman: Streets of Gotham, and Superman/Batman for me. Looking forward to GL #52 the most.

BQ: Beautiful weekend in South Jersey. Spent as much time outside as I could. Then of course it was followed by two days of rain and everyone I know is sick as a result. Oh well, at least I haven’t been stacking sandbags or running from lava.
