‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ – S01E15 – “Reboot”

I wonder if that appearance of Anti-Monitor means they’re going to do some kind of Crisis story.

Here’s how “Reboot” is described:

The threat of the Anti-Monitor forces Hal to try and reassemble Kilowog, Razer and Aya as a team to help the new Honor Guard.

I look forward to your thoughts, opinions, gripes, live-blogging, etc.

Comments

  1. Seeing Ch’p was enough to make this episode worth watching.

  2. I don’t think that the monitor will be a big crisis type event for this, but the single universe being in danger? Yes I think so. I don’t think that they have the time to introduce all of the other superheroes. I liked seeing Aya again but I’m puzzled as to why the Guardian’s wanted to kill her. Looks like for all their supposed wisdom these Guardians are as clueless as any other group I’ve seen. Would like to see more of Ch’p too.

  3. The fight between Ch’p and Hal was FANtastic. I’m really impressed with this show–it’s really building into something impressive and entertaining. I do kinda miss Hal being back on Earth, though.

The DC Nation short “Raven in Love/Robin in Love” was great.

    • I think this show is totally slept on, best depiction of Green Lantern in a good long while.

    • @ Conor – I agree, I wanted to see more Hal Jordan on earth. I liked the previous episode with Guy Gardner. I imagine DC wanted this series to deal with more of the stories in space? They showed Hal and Carol breaking up which is very realistic; no one wants to be in a relationship with someone who’s hardly there.

p.s. Thanks for the clarification on Anti Monitor. He looks very similar to Monarch, I need to brush up on my DC Characters. XD

  4. I haven’t watched this episode yet (dvr-ed it) but I did buy the first half of the first season the other day and have been watching it, and I have to say it is way better then I thought. Once I got used to the animation style -which was really quick, I actually really like it now- the stories and episodes have all been great. Nice to see the tradition of great DC toons continues, but I think I have to be thankful for Geoff Johns, say what you will about him, but he added so much mythology and more concepts to the established GL universe that it can stand fully on it’s own and not have to rely on a guest appearance by the Justice League or whatever to make it interesting, and it looks like the show is taking the ball and running with it. I can’t wait for the inevitable appearance of Sinestro and his corps!

  5. Damnit I forgot to set the TV thing again.

  6. Yuh oh!!

  7. This was a great ep. lots of action!!! This is so much better than the movie.

  8. The first thing that cam into my head, when I saw Ch’p, was the ending of the Emerald Knights animated movie. Hal said: “Let me tell about my time facing an army of manhunters and my only back up was this squirrel!”

  9. Awesome episode!

So Hal got punched into the Anti-Matter universe. Hmm… I wonder if he knows anybody who might have been exiled there…
