Free Comic Book Day 2010: DC Comics

DC's contributions to Free Comic Book Day 2010 are War of the Supermen #0 and the DC Kids Mega-Sampler!

Written by James Robinson and Sterling Gates and drawn by Eddy Barrows, War of the Supermen is the final big arc that wraps up the last few years of Superman stories, leading up to the new era for the Man of Steel that is going to be spearheaded by J. Michael Straczynski.

The DC Kids Mega-Sampler features stories from DC's two great all-ages titles Tiny Titans by Art Baltazar and Franco, and Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam with art by Mike Norton.

First, a preview of War of the Supermen:

  3. Aw yeah titans! I’m getting that, I don’t care I’m 23 years old

  4. "New era for the man of steel spearheaded by Straczynski". Aww Yeah!

  5. The 1st may is labour day here, so all the shops are closed. Damnit, wanted that tiny titans!

  6. Can we please have an alternate universe where Bizarro Superman is a swarmy Vegas nightclub lounge lizard singer?  Thank you.

  7. Lol, Kryptonite Knife. About a year ago, when I read Frank Miller’s TDKR for the first time I had thought Wayne’s secret weapon against Kent ought to have been a Kryptonite Katana. It would just add that class worthy of his work. I’m wondering if in all those issues of Action Comics would there have been a gimmick like that used up. I’m certain there was a kryptonite bullet but I don’t remember where I read it.
