FLASHPOINT: First Look at FLASHPOINT #3

DC Comics has released this cover image from July's Flashpoint #3 by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert. Enigmatic of course, but not too difficult to decipher.

What we appear to be looking at is an image from inside Superman's holding cell in the government facility he's called home or prison since arriving on Earth. Barry, Cyborg, and Casino Fun Batman are endeavoring to break the poor guy out. But how do they know about Project Superman (also a tie-in mini series)? And is Superman the same hero we know and love?

More importantly, will they play Trivial Pursuit with him? And when he answers "the Moors" will they let him slide even though the card clearly reads, 'Moops?'

Guess we'll find out this summer.

Comments

  1. Looks like vic has been piling on the pounds !

  2. I keep saying to myself  “Self, should I take the time to read this Flashpoint rigamarole?” I also ponder whether or not I know how to spell rigamarole.

  3. The big question is whether no Nick Nolte can control Superman’s antics while Kal-El is out trying to get some trim and finger the perp.

  4. Am I the only getting 3/4 of the image greyed out? I’ve refreshed the page a few times. Guess I’ll go the original source.

  5. I will put money on it that this is going to be superman-prime.

  6. @matthaber: I would guess this is going to be “real” Superman, since this story takes place on the regular continuity DC Earth. I’m pretty sure it’s just a “time-travel-esque” story where Reverse Flash or somebody has gone back in time to mess up the present, a la Back to the Future Part II

  7. Looks like Superman forgot to wear pants.

  8. They caught supes with a blow up doll?

  9. Apparently in this timeline, Amanda Waller is Cyborg.

  10. Waller as cyborg! Priceless !

  11. Love the Seinfeld referance from the bubble boy episode. Comic books combine with sitcoms
